The illegal Russian armed groups opened fire on the positions of our units using weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, namely, 122-mm artillery systems, 82-mm mortars, and also using various grenade launcher types, heavy machine guns, and small arms.
In the area of responsibility of the operational tactic force “EAST,” the adversary fired at the Joint Forces positions 3 times:
Near HRANITNE village from the direction of NOVA MARYIVKA village – with small arms;
Near LEBEDYNSKE village from the direction of SAKHANKA village – with a heavy machine gun and small arms;
Near PISKY village from the direction of SPARTAK village – with an 82-mm mortar and an underbarrel grenade launcher.
In the area of responsibility of the operational tactic force “NORTH,” the adversary fired at the Joint Forces positions 6 times:
Near ARTEMA village from the direction of OBOZNE village – with a heavy machine gun;
Three times near NOVOLUHANSKE village from the direction of HORLIVKA city – with an 122-mm artillery system, and twice from the direction of DOLOMITNE village – with 82-mm mortars, various types of grenade launchers, and small arms.
As a result of the enemy fire, one Ukrainian service person was wounded. The Ukrainian troops responded adequately to each case of fire opened by the illegal Russian groups and their mercenaries. The adversary’s casualties are being investigated.
On July 19, the illegal Russian groups and their mercenaries violated the ceasefire regime 26 times. Of these, 11 times weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements were used, namely, 122-mm artillery systems, and 120-mm and 82-mm mortars. The adversary also fired at the Ukrainian defenders with various types of grenade launchers, weapons carried by the armored vehicles of the infantry, heavy machine guns, sniper rifles, and small arms.
The facts of disturbing fire opened by the adversary were documented near the towns and villages of SHYROKYNE, BOHDANIVKA, MARYANKA, TALAKIVKA, TARAMCHUK, HNUTOVE, NOVOTROYITSKE, BEREZOVE, KRASNOHORIVKA, CHERMALYK, VODIANE, AVDIIVKA, NOVOHNATIVKA, PYSHCHEVYK, KRYMSKE, PIVDENNE, NOVOLUHANSKE, LUHANSKE, and SHCHASTIA.
On July 19, the representatives of the National Police and the National Guard of Ukraine working as parts of the Joint Forces in the area of the operation have uncovered 1 robbery, 1 theft, 1 case of fraud, I fact of illegal vehicle hijacking, 1 fact of illegal handling of a firearm, and 5 cases of illegal narcotics possession. Four persons were arrested on suspicion of participating in the activities of the illegal Russian armed groups and transferred to judicial organs. Twenty-five misdemeanors were documented.
Yesterday, more than 23,000 persons and 2,700 vehicles entered the jurisdiction of the Joint Forces through the points of controlled entry. Twenty-four thousand persons and 2,700 vehicles exited through the same points. Thirty-seven persons were denied the right to cross the demarcation line.
The military and civilian administrative and judicial organs worked according to their routine schedules. The social, political, and humanitarian situation remained under the control of the Joint Forces.
