From the time 00:00 July 17, the enemy violated the ceasefire regime 6 times.
Armed units of the Russian Federation Armed Forces opened fire on the positions of our troops using grenade launchers of the miscellaneous systems, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms.
In the area of responsibility of the operative-tactical group “EAST,” the adversary opened fire on the Joint Forces positions 6 times:
Near MYKOLAYIVKA from the direction of DOKUCHAYEVSK – using grenade launchers of the miscellaneous systems, and a large-caliber machine gun;
Near SHYROKYNE from the direction of SAKHANKA – using small arms;
Near MARYINKA from the direction of OLEKSANDRIVKA – using a tripod-mounted grenade launcher and a large-caliber machine gun;
Near VODIANE from the direction of AZOV – using a tripod-mounted anti-tank grenade launcher;
Near the village of PAVLOPIL from the direction of VERKHNYOSHYROKIVSKE – using an automated grenade launcher;
Near BOHDANIVKA from the direction of PETRIVSKE – using grenade launchers of the miscellaneous systems, a large-caliber machine gun, and small arms.
There were no documented casualties resulting from the enemy fire. Our troops responded adequately to each case of the opening of fire by the Russian Federation troops. The adversary’s casualties are being investigated.
Over July 16, the armed units of the Russian Federation Armed Forces have violated the ceasefire regime 8 times. Of these, 3 times the regime was violated using the weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, namely, 120-mm and 82-mm caliber mortars. Also, the adversary opened fire on our defenders using grenade launchers of the various systems, anti-tank rocket systems, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms.
The facts of the disturbing fire opened by the adversary were documented near the towns and villages of OPYTNE, NOVOTROYITSKE, VERKHNYOTORETSKE, KRASNOHORIVKA, LEBEDYNSKE, MYKOLAYIVKA, KRYMSKE, and NOVOLUHANSKE.
On July 16, the representatives of the National Police and the National Guard of Ukraine acting as parts of the Joint Forces have uncovered 2 facts of aggravated assault and battery, 80 thefts, 3 cases of illegal firearms trade and 11 cases of illegal narcotics possession. Four persons were arrested on suspicion of participating in the activities of the Russian Federation Armed Forces and transferred to judicial organs. Twenty-nine misdemeanors were revealed.
Yesterday, more than 21,000 persons and 2,500 vehicles entered the jurisdiction of the Joint Forces through the points of controlled entry. Twenty-two thousand and two hundred persons and 2,600 vehicles exited through the same points. Forty-three persons were denied the right to cross the demarcation line.
The military and civilian administrative organs and the judicial organs in the area of the Joint Forces Operation worked according to their routine schedules. The social, political, and humanitarian situation remains under the control of the Joint Forces.
