During the current date (Aug. 31, 2019), the armed units from Russia and the Russian mercenaries have violated the ceasefire regime 7 times. The adversary fired at the Joint Forces units’ positions with weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, namely, 82-mm mortars. They also fired with various grenade launcher systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms.
In the area of responsibility of the operative-tactic force “EAST,” the adversary fired at the Joint Forces’ positions 3 times:
Three times near VODIANE village from the direction of UZHIVKA and PIKUZY villages – with 82-mm mortars forbidden by the Minsk Agreements, heavy machine guns, and small arms.
In the area of responsibility of the operative-tactic force “NORTH,” the adversary fired at the Joint Forces’ positions 4 times:
Twice near ZAITSEVE village from the direction of HOLMIVSKE village – with various grenade launcher systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms;
Near TRAVNEVE village from the direction of HOLMIVSKKE village – with various grenade launcher systems and heavy machine guns;
Near LUHANSKE village from the direction of NYZHNYE LOZOVE village – with a stationary anti-tank grenade launcher.
At one point, the adversary requested a “Silence” regime, allegedly, for evacuation of the bodies of its dead, but then opened fire at the Joint Forces’ positions. As a result, one Joint Forces’ service person was wounded, his wounds evaluated as fairly severe.
At the moment, this service person is at a stable condition. He was given the first aid and delivered to a medical facility.
On August 30, the armed units from Russia and the Russian mercenaries have violated the ceasefire regime 17 times.
The adversary fired at the Joint Forces’ positions with 120-mm and 82-mm mortars (prohibited by the Minsk Agreements), and also with various grenade launcher systems, heavy machine guns, sniper rifles, and small arms.
The facts of enemy fire were documented near towns and villages of VODIANE, NOVOTROYITSKE, TROYITSKE, LEBEDYNSKE, MARIINKA, NOVOMYKHAILIVKA, NOVOLUHANSKE, ZOLOTE-4, MAYORSK, STANYTSYA LUHANSKA, and NOVOZVANIVKA.
Being on the mission, one Joint Forces’ service person was killed and another wounded.
Yesterday, the representatives of the National Police and the National Guard of Ukraine working as parts of the Joint Forces among the civilian population have uncovered 1 murder, 1 case of assault and battery, 4 thefts, 2 cases of fraud, and 13 cases of illegal narcotics possession.
Eleven thousand and 625 persons and 1,748 vehicles entered the territory controlled by the Joint Forces through points of the controlled entry. Thirteen thousand and 179 persons and 1,770 vehicles exited through the same points. Forty-nine persons were denied the right to cross the demarcation line.
The military and civilian administrative and judicial organs in the area of the Joint Forces’ Operation worked according to their routine schedules.
The Joint Forces’ units adhere to the ceasefire regime conditions and are ready to face any treacherous and provocative actions of the adversary.
