For your attention, this is a briefing of the Press Center of the Joined Forces Headquarters regarding the situation in the region where the Joined Forces Operation is being conducted.
From the time 0:00 of June 22, 2019 the enemy has violated the ceasefire regime 11 times. The armed forces of the Russian Federation shot at our positions using caliber 120- and 82-mm mortars that are specifically prohibited by the Minsk agreements, as well as grenade launchers of the various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms. In the area of responsibility of the operational tactic group East, the adversary shot at the positions of the Joined Forces eight times, of them two times near the village of Vodyane. The fire that came from the direction of Pikuza and Azov was carried out by grenade launchers of the various systems, large caliber machine guns, and small arms; in the region of Starohnativka, from the direction of Novolast, – by tripod-mounted grenade launchers, large caliber machine guns, and small arms; from Shyrokyne towards the village of Sokhanka, – by tripod-mounted grenade launchers and small arms; in the vicinity of Krasnohorivka, from the direction of Staromykhailivka, – by caliber 120-mm mortars and tripod-mounted grenade launchers; in Hnutove, from the direction of Pikuza, – by tripod-mounted grenade launchers; near the village of Palubi, from the direction of Ukrayinske, – by large-caliber machine guns and small arms; in Novotroyitsk, from the direction of the village of Dokuchayivsk, – by anti-tank machine guns and small arms. In the area of responsibility of the operational tactic group North, the adversary shot at the positions of the Joined Forces three times: near Pishchane, from the direction of Obozne, by caliber 82-mm mortars, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms; in Pivdenne, from the direction of Gagarin mine, – by grenade launchers of the various systems, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms; near the village of Novoluhanske, from the direction of Dolomitne, – by large-caliber machine guns. As a result of the enemy fire, one Ukrainian military serviceperson was wounded. Our troops gave an adequate response to the fire by the troops of the Russian Federation armed forces. The extent of the enemy casualties is still under investigation.
On June 21, armed formations of the Russian Federation have violated the ceasefire regime 25 times. Seven times, caliber 120- and 82-mm mortars that are specifically prohibited by the Minsk agreements were used. Firing at our defenders, the adversary used grenade launchers of the various systems, infantry fighting vehicles, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms. The violations have been detected near the following villages and towns: Opytne, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Shyrokyne, Novotroyitske, Pisky, Novoselvka-2, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Pivdenne, Katerynivka, Zaitseve, and Novhorodske.
On June 21, officers of the National Police of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine acting as parts of the Joined Forces have disclosed five cases of theft, three cases of robbery, four cases of narcotics possession, and one case of fraud. Six persons were arrested and put in custody for the alleged participation in the actions of the Russian armed forces. Thirty-five cases of misdemeanor were recorded. Almost 21,000 persons and 1,600 vehicles entered the Ukrainian territory through the points of entry and exit controlled by the Joined Forces, and about 22,000 persons and 2,600 vehicles exited. Thirty-six persons were denied the right of entry. The military, civilian, and judicial organs worked by their routine schedules. The civic, political, and humanitarian situation in the region remained under the Joined Forces’ control.
