Yuri Veselskyi, a 20 years old trooper from Zhytomyr, served in the 95th airmobile brigade. On June, 22 he was badly wounded in the ATO area. Doctors have already amputated his right leg. He needs urgent treatment abroad to install prosthesis and save his left pelvic limb. Below is the information provided by “Volunteer Sotnia” in Facebook:
The family has to collect over EUR 100,000 to treat Yuri abroad.
“On June 22, Yuri along with soldiers of the 4th squadron of the 95th airmobile brigade was accompanying military equipment when they were attacked. The APC Yuri drove took a blow from an RPG launcher which pierced the vehicle through. Yuri was able to take the vehicle out of shelling area thus saving his own life and lives of his comrades-in-arms.”, – the notice states.
Yuri’s family is unable to collect the necessary amount of money for treatment on their own and that is why they appeal to everybody who cares and can help. Yuri’s father is also a serviceman. His is currently in the anti-terrorist operation zone. His mother is a kindergarten teacher. She had two heart surgeries and is taking care of her son at the hospital now. The family has two more schoolchildren.
