On January 15, partisans of “The Liberation Front of Donbas and Luhansk” posted on their page on Facebook that they have damaged a 240-mm self-propelled mortar 2S4 Tulpan:

We have decided to clarify the details of the incident with one of the members of partisan cells on the occupied territory. Earlier, InformNapalm posted his video message on behalf of the partisans of Donbas. His call sign is “Turkenich”. This guy has lived his whole life in Donbas and could not accept the fact that Russian mercenaries invaded his hometown and turned it from a large industrial center of Ukraine into a zone of exclusion, destruction and terror.

We asked “Turkenich” to give us some details about the operation (but only what he could tell). Below is his response.

Well, what to say. We have noticed that the separatists have started moving equipment around the area, moving it away from the western suburbs and then returning it back. Last night, a diesel locomotive with four railroad cars went in the direction of the town of Trudovskih. Estimating the probability of the delivery of artillery shells, we decided to take apart a railroad switch at the briquette factory. We did it! To be honest, we had “to take apart” four guards as well. The funny thing is that the version that goes around sounds something like this: “The starving Ukrainian national guards took the railroad switch for scrap”. As a result, the locomotive with several cars got stuck at Trudovskih. I’ve heard that our friends from the Ukrainian armed forces shot at it.

Considering that the fighting at the Donetsk airport has become much fiercer, we could not resist asking the partisans about that direction. Turkenich gave his comment:

What were we doing when the battle for the airport was going on? We were adjusting our artillery a little bit; and we were engaged in other actions. We left a “gift” for the separatists recently, and their Tulpan accidentally ran over it. We asked our friends from the Ukrainian armed forces to “help” Russian mechanics take it apart for scrap. But alas… by that time the OSCE had finally removed the black glasses and acknowledged the shelling of civilian areas by separatists. The friends were banned from shooting — the Tulpan was towed away on a trailer. But we are glad that at least one piece didn’t shoot at the airport.

We are waiting for new details from fighters of the second front — Front of Liberation of Donbas — and wish them good luck and victory.
