The Kremlin has opened a Pandora’s box by exporting terrorism to neighboring countries and raising trigger-happy minions. The Russian leadership failed to foresee that ideological brainwashing of political extremists and manipulation of all kinds of marginalized strata and supporters of Russian imperial ideology (ranging from Stalinists to Tsarists) could push Russia into a civil war. Militants who have tasted blood in Donbas are beginning to raise their voice. They are giving the “Black Spot”, saying it’s high time “problems within Russia were solved.”
E.N.O.T. CORP
(“Enot” is Russian for “raccoon”, a nickname often used for paratroopers and special forces operatives) announce their withdrawal from Surkov’s Union of Donbas Volunteers (UDV) and say they are going to fight for Putin.
E.N.O.T. CORP is a private military company (PMC) whose militants have fought on behalf of Russia in a number of military conflicts. It was founded by the People’s Cathedral movement on the basis of Association of Military Patriotic Organizations RESERVE. Vladimir Khomyakov is a co-chairman of the People’s Cathedral movement who authored a number of publications posted on E.N.O.T. CORP’s official website. (archive).
Khomyakov has severely criticized Putin’s aide Vladislav Surkov, accusing him of “selling Novorossia out.” He said:
“…As far as I know, Surkov works for Petr Aven’s group (i.e. for the Rothschilds); so, when the crunch comes, not only will he betray Putin once again, he will also head the practical work related to his deposition…”
Considering Khomyakov ‘s attitude towards Surkov, the participation of his “raccoons” in the UDV looked rather odd. In late April 2017, however, everything clicked into place and E.N.O.T. CORP officially said they were giving the UDV’s management the “Black Spot”(archive) and withdrawing from the Union. To emphasize their point, they even added a photo taken at a UDV’s closed congress with the Raccoons’ leader Roman Telenkevich symbolically separated by a dotted line from the group of militants around Surkov.
“Raccoons” were members of the UDV since its establishment. Their leader, Roman Telenkevich (callsign Vodyanoj (Russian for “water sprite”)), was a UDV board member.
In their publications, “raccoons” explain their actions by saying that Russia may be faced with revolutionary upheavals soon, in which case they will fight for Putin; they also approve of the reinforcement of the National Guard of Russia with the Russian Armed Forces (archive).
“Our ship fears no storms and is eager to engage in the political in-fighting in the endless sea of opportunities given to us by the Absolute,” they summed up.

So, the rift within the UDV (which operates under Surkov’s patronage) and the statements that followed from the “raccoons” of their readiness for an armed conflict within Russia imply that the confrontation between the opposing Kremlin factions is entering a new stage.
