The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) received satellite imagery data confirming the fabrication of materials by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on the accident with the Boeing-777; the materials were published on July 21, 2014 during the briefing of the General Staff of the Russian Federation.
Comparative analysis of the “Russian data” of satellite imagery which are based on digital satellite data has numerous and undisguised signs of forgery. The photographs have signs of retouching or had been shot by Russian spy satellites at another time, long before the terrorist act that downed the Boeing-777.
SBU emphasizes that the materials published by the General Staff of the Russian Federation are generally untrue and aimed at creation of a false version of the alleged non-participation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in a terrorist act against the civilian aircraft using Buk-M1 surface-to-air missiles.
