Russia is using ceasefire to prepare for escalation of fighting in Donbas

It is obvious, as InformNapalm volunteers pointed out last week, that the current reduction of shelling in the Donbas is not a reason to hope for a gradual resolution of the conflict and an end to the war, but only an opportunity for the Russian Armed Forces to replenish its ammunition and prepare forces for another escalation against Ukraine.

During the  August 4 briefing, Defense Ministry of Ukraine spokesman Maksym Prauta, citing information from the Defense Intelligence Agency, said that last week Russia had delivered at least 10 armored combat vehicles and about 30 trucks loaded with small arms across the uncontrolled part of the border to the occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

We will remind that on July 30 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine sent to Russia a note of protest because of the another “humanitarian convoy” arrived to the Donbas. Such “humanitarian convoys” from Russia, sometimes, covertly without too much publicity, and sometimes openly under the guise of propaganda about the delivery of “food or medicine” to the residents of the Donbas, deliver to the occupied parts of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts unidentified goods that may be weapons and ammunition.

InformNapalm volunteers have repeatedly exposed in their research that Russian troops are working under the guise of the “humanitarian convoys”. It was established that the soldiers of the Russian 108th Airborne Assault Regiment took part in “humanitarian convoys” to the Donbas. Also, one of the servicemen of the 22nd Special Brigade of the GRU of Russia, who took part in the operation to capture Crimea, was later seen as a member of “humanitarian convoys” under the cover of the Russian Ministry of Emergence Situations.
