Russian Forces Mass Tanks and SPGs 15 km From the Demarcation Line (aerial photos)

Yet another large concentration of military equipment and heavy weapons of 122 and 125 mm caliber was detected in Donbas. In violation of the Minsk agreements Russian-terrorist forces have amassed weaponry about 15-17 km from the demarcation line.

Aerial recon volunteers have snapped off unique UAV photos of Russian positions and passed them to InformNapalm community. UAV analysis has revealed a considerable concentration of military hardware in one of the districts of occupied Donetsk.

Aside from trucks, MAZ-537 tractors, infantry fighting and command vehicles, multi-purpose armored tracked vehicles (MT-LB) the photos show over twenty T-64BV and T-72 tanks of various modifications (caliber 125 mm), and at least two 2C1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers (caliber 122 mm). Photo coordinates: 47.9583438, 37.8532007 [1].

According to InformNapalm sources that belong to HUMINT network we have also discovered that so-called 5 separate motor rifle brigade of the 1st Army Corps (AC) is deployed in the same sector and Kriemen (Flint) is the call sign of the brigade commander.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense Intelligence previously informed [2] that Kriemen call sign belongs to Russian Armed Forces colonel Igor Kapliy. Igor Kapliy used to hold command positions in the Airborne Troops of the Russian Armed Forces. Prior his assignment to the Donbas he served as a commander of the 51st Airborne Regiment (Tula, Russia), and as a Chief Commander of 242nd Recruit Training Center for Junior Specialists (Omsk, Russia).

Based on the investigation InformNapalm analysts have come to the following conclusions:

– Russia continues to supply military hardware to the Donbas .

– In violation of the Minsk agreements Russia amasses heavy weapons on the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Active officers of the Russian Army hold command posts [3] in the illegal militant groups of the Donbas.

It is worth mentioning that on Sept. 24 InformNapalm reported eight 122 mm militant howitzers were discovered near Novoazovsk [4], located 17 km from the demarcation line.

For more information about Russian regular troops fighting in the Donbas see our interactive map and database [5] that contains data on Russian servicemen from more than 75 Russian military units.
