The Security Service of Ukraine Detained a DPR Spy

On September 12, the counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a citizen of Ukraine “C” (1981 YOB). The detainee is a resident of Donske town (Donetsk region). He served as a spy for the terrorists.

It was established that “C” passed to “Oplot” militants intelligence information on movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and volunteer battalions in the area of Volnovakha (Donetsk region). Following the orders of the terrorists, he collected information on the amount ant types of weapons, personnel, and actual locations of the ATO forces.

According to “C”, he understood that information he had provided was used by the DPR terrorist groups to kill the ATO soldiers and destroy Ukrainian military equipment.

Operative and investigatory actions are in progress; involvement of “C” in other illegal activities is being verified.
