Below is the status update on the situation on the night of 3rd to 4th August as at August 4, 08:00 UTC+0300 provided by the ATO Press Center.
On the night of August 3rd to 4th the activity of militants increased, as well as the intensity of the shelling of military positions of the ATO forces.
The positions of paratroopers near Novohannivka were shelled six times by MLRS BM-21 “Grad”, tank weapons and mortars. There are no casualties.
The airfield in Luhansk was also shelled six times by mortars and MLRS BM-21 “Grad”. There are no casualties.
- 03:00: an unmanned aerial vehicle was observed.
- 22:30 – 23:30: checkpoints in the border area were shelled from Nizhnyaya Talovka by MLRS BM-21 “Grad”; no casualties.
- 00:50 – 01:24: infantry positions in the area Volnukhyne were shelled by MLRS BM-21 “Grad”.
- 01:50 – 02:00: infantry positions in the area of Nyzhnii Minchenok (Luhansk region) were shelled by mortars.
- 16:40 – 16:50: the checkpoint in the area of the crossroads near Kamyanka (Luhansk region) was shelled.
- 16:40 – 17:00: the checkpoint in the area of Novyi Svit was shelled by mortars.
Mortar shelling of military positions of the ATO forces from the territory of the Russian Federation continues. In particular:
- 21:00: paratrooper positions in the area of Chervonopartyzansk were shelled; no casualties.
- 20:30 – 21:00: military positions in the area of Zelenopillya were shelled by mortars; no casualties.
- 23:00 – 00:40: paratrooper positions in the area of Dyakove were shelled by MLRS BM-21 “Grad”; no casualties.
According to Dmitry Tymchuk of Information Resistance, the positions of Ukrainian paratroopers near Chervonopartyzansk had been shelled for 3.5 hours from the territory of the Russian Federation.
