\u201cUniversal Soldier\u201d: a Russian serviceman from the Railway Troops was detected among the personnel of the Somalia Battalion.<\/b><\/p>\n

A unit of the Russian Railway Troops that had not been previously detected in the Donbas was added to the database<\/a> <\/span>of InformNapalm international intelligence community. As a result of the OSINT investigation, a serviceman of the Russian Railway Troops has been identified among the personnel of the Somalia Battalion which is a military unit of the so-called DPR.<\/span><\/p>\n

Magomed I. Zakriev<\/b><\/h1>\n

Born on November 1, 1992 in the town of Grozny, Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. Accounts in social media: VK-1<\/a> (archives of profile page<\/a>, picture album<\/a> , contacts<\/a>), VK-2<\/a> inactive (archives of profile page<\/a><\/span>, picture album<\/a>, contacts<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n

Apparently, he is a contract soldier of the Russian 39<\/span>th<\/span> Separate Railway Brigade from the \u00a0South Military District (previously, military unit #01228, since December 1, 2015, it has been a military unit # 98546, Krasnodar. Units of this brigade are located in the towns of Tomashevsk, Kurganinsk and Kerch in occupied Crimea, Ukraine). He served as a conscript from autumn 2014 to autumn 2015 and then signed a 3-year contract.<\/span><\/p>\n

Identification of the location on the photo<\/a> \u00a0uploaded in December 2016: M. Zakriev stands in front of the Paralel # 34 gas station in occupied Makiivka. The coordinates are: 48.0373712, 37.9626238. Yandex maps<\/a> \u00a0service allows to look at this area in greater detail.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The fact that Zakriev served in the Russian Railway Troops and the Somalia Battalion of the DPR at the same time can be indirectly proven by his friend contacts. For example, one of his friends Slavik Arakelian<\/a><\/span> posted pictures which show insignia of the Railway Troops. The pictures were uploaded in 2016-2017 and demonstrated that Slavik served in the military unit # 01228. Zakriev himself has enough pictures in his albums which were uploaded in 2016 where he is depicted wearing Russian military camouflage with insignia of the Russian Railway Troops and military equipment on the background (these pictures are absent from his old VK account).<\/span><\/p>\n

Even if we assume that M. Zakriev does not serve in Russian army anymore, he is still disclosed by a picture<\/a> with his military awards, which was uploaded on his inactive account on December 3, 2015, and then on his new account<\/a><\/span>. In particular, the picture with the black uniform shows two unofficial awards. One is a so called medal \u201cFor Service in North Caucasus\u201d<\/a><\/span> . This medal is usually worn by contract soldiers and \u2018veterans\u2019 of the South military district. \u00a0Another one is a so called medal \u201cFor Military Virtue\u201d<\/a><\/span> , created by the all-Russian organization of veterans Military Brotherhood. This medal has been detected multiple times (1<\/a><\/span> , 2<\/a><\/span> , 3<\/a><\/span>, 4 <\/a>)<\/span>\u00a0on the uniforms of current Russian serviceman who had gone through Ukrainian deployments. These medals were also accompanied with award papers with stamps of the so called \u201cD\/LPR\u201d. This brings us to the conclusion that M. Zakriev was in the Donbas back in 2015, while he served as a Russian conscript.<\/span><\/p>\n

We also should note a series of staged pictures from the picture album of M. Zakriev, where he poses on the front line holding different types of weapons. Of course, Zakriev was ashamed to post pictures that would reflect his real everyday service with a pick and shovel at the railroad. His fellow countrymen from the Caucasus would probably laugh at those pictures. That is why he had to present himself fully armed \u2013 with a machine gun which has a grenade-launcher attachment, a machine gun with a silencer, a heavy machine gun, a grenade launcher, in other words \u2013 with all possible arsenal which was available to him at the moment.<\/span><\/p>\n

As we know, by the mid 2014 the losses of the Donbas railroads were estimated<\/a> \u00a0at 300 million hryvnias. Considering that the pro-Russian puppet regimes of the D\/LPR have neither resources, nor specialists to rebuild important railroads, and that from time to time separatists\u2019 media inform about \u00a0repairing railroads<\/a>, we can assume that the Russian Railway Troops are used for these purposes. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The Railway Troops of the Russian Armed Forces are special military forces which specialize in railroad maintenance: preparation, construction, restoration and blocking (from enemy\u2019s use) of railroads. <\/span><\/i>For instance, the Russian Railway Troops have restored bridges and railroad tracks in occupied Abkhazia prior to the Russian military aggression against Georgia in 2008. This way they provided the invasion forces with railroad transport for faster transportation of personnel, equipment and weapons.\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Since 2015, the Russian Railway Troops have been building<\/a> \u00a0a two-way electrified railroad around Ukraine between Zhuravka and Millerovo.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Units of this brigade are located in the towns of Tomashevsk, Kurganinsk and Kerch in occupied Crimea, Ukraine). He served as a conscript from autumn 2014 to autumn 2015 and then signed a 3-year contract.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Identification of the location on the <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/nqWZ2\">photo<\/a> \u00a0uploaded in December 2016: M. Zakriev stands in front of the Paralel # 34 gas station in occupied Makiivka. The coordinates are: 48.0373712, 37.9626238. <a href=\"https:\/\/yandex.ua\/maps\/-\/C6ED4UoZ\">Yandex maps<\/a> \u00a0service allows to look at this area in greater detail.<\/span><\/i>\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/n-a-.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The fact that Zakriev served in the Russian Railway Troops and the Somalia Battalion of the DPR at the same time can be indirectly proven by his friend contacts. For example, one of his friends<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/VSbCb\"> Slavik Arakelian<\/a><\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">posted pictures which show insignia of the Railway Troops. The pictures were uploaded in 2016-2017 and demonstrated that Slavik served in the military unit # 01228. Zakriev himself has enough pictures in his albums which were uploaded in 2016 where he is depicted wearing Russian military camouflage with insignia of the Russian Railway Troops and military equipment on the background (these pictures are absent from his old VK account).<\/span>\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/F-a-_-.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\n<img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/G-t--300x244.jpg\" width=\"163\" height=\"135\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/39_-a2-300x235.jpg\" width=\"169\" height=\"135\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/G--300x245.jpg\" width=\"162\" height=\"135\" \/>\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/sp-teqnika.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Even if we assume that M. Zakriev does not serve in Russian army anymore, he is still disclosed by a <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/xdZhk\">picture<\/a> with his military awards, which was uploaded on his inactive account on December 3, 2015, and then on his <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/nKJid\">new account<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. In particular, the picture with the black uniform shows two unofficial awards. One is a so called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.soldiering.ru\/other\/geralgika\/russia\/other\/medal_skavkaz.php\">medal \u201cFor Service in North Caucasus\u201d<\/a><\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. This medal is usually worn by contract soldiers and \u2018veterans\u2019 of the South military district. \u00a0Another one is a so called <a href=\"http:\/\/cyclowiki.org\/wiki\/\u041c\u0435\u0434\u0430\u043b\u044c_\u00ab\u0417\u0430_\u0440\u0430\u0442\u043d\u0443\u044e_\u0434\u043e\u0431\u043b\u0435\u0441\u0442\u044c\u00bb\">medal \u201cFor Military Virtue\u201d<\/a><\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, created by the all-Russian organization of veterans Military Brotherhood. This medal has been detected multiple times (<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russian-guards-baptism-fire-industrial-zone-avdiivka\/\">1<\/a><\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/marine-of-the-russian-810th-brigade\/\">2<\/a><\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/national-guard-russia-abroad\/\">3<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/11391-sau-msta-s-novoazovskom\/\">4 <\/a>)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0on the uniforms of current Russian serviceman who had gone through Ukrainian deployments. These medals were also accompanied with award papers with stamps of the so called \u201cD\/LPR\u201d. This brings us to the conclusion that M. Zakriev was in the Donbas back in 2015, while he served as a Russian conscript.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/medali.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We also should note a series of staged pictures from the picture album of M. Zakriev, where he poses on the front line holding different types of weapons. Of course, Zakriev was ashamed to post pictures that would reflect his real everyday service with a pick and shovel at the railroad. His fellow countrymen from the Caucasus would probably laugh at those pictures. That is why he had to present himself fully armed \u2013 with a machine gun which has a grenade-launcher attachment, a machine gun with a silencer, a heavy machine gun, a grenade launcher, in other words \u2013 with all possible arsenal which was available to him at the moment.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/pered-0-1024x780.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\n<img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/pered-1-2-3-300x230.jpg\" width=\"113\" height=\"88\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/pered-1-2-4-5-300x232.jpg\" width=\"113\" height=\"88\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/pered-1-2-4-300x216.jpg\" width=\"122\" height=\"91\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/pered-1-2.jpg\" width=\"114\" height=\"89\" \/>\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As we know, by the mid 2014 the losses of the Donbas railroads were <a href=\"http:\/\/rian.com.ua\/economy\/20140723\/355255205.html\">estimated<\/a> \u00a0at 300 million hryvnias. Considering that the pro-Russian puppet regimes of the D\/LPR have neither resources, nor specialists to rebuild important railroads, and that from time to time separatists\u2019 media inform about <a href=\"http:\/\/smdnr.ru\/zavershen-ocherednoj-etap-vosstanovleniya-uchastka-zheleznoj-dorogi-ministerstvo-transporta-dnr\/\">\u00a0repairing railroads<\/a>, we can assume that the Russian Railway Troops are used for these purposes. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i>\r\n\r\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Railway Troops of the Russian Armed Forces are special military forces which specialize in railroad maintenance: preparation, construction, restoration and blocking (from enemy\u2019s use) of railroads. <\/span><\/i><b><i>For instance, the Russian Railway Troops have restored bridges and railroad tracks in occupied Abkhazia prior to the Russian military aggression against Georgia in 2008.
