The photos of the destroyed memorial were posted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pavlo.podobed\/posts\/10212450771000884\">Facebook page<\/a> of Pavlo Podobed, who works in the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory. The photos also appeared on some\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.portalprzemyski.pl\/nielegalny-pomnik-upa-w-powiecie-przemyskim-rozebrany-po-23-latach-pierwsza-taka-akcja-w-polsce-galeria-zdjec\/\">Polish websites<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Two years ago, unidentified persons tore a plaque off the memorial, which became a formal pretext to consider it need of repair.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_07521-300x172.jpg\" width=\"179\" height=\"107\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_07721-300x200.jpg\" width=\"151\" height=\"104\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_07781-300x155.jpg\" width=\"195\" height=\"106\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_07921-300x173.jpg\" width=\"167\" height=\"101\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_07961-300x140.jpg\" width=\"198\" height=\"98\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_08001-300x200.jpg\" width=\"165\" height=\"112\" \/><br \/>\nBesides, this memorial had been for a long time in the focus of attention of Polish nationalists, who believed that it had been erected illegally and, therefore, needed to be torn down. However, Ukrainian organizations insisted that the memorial was, in fact, a gravestone.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the Polish nationalists\u2019 <a href=\"http:\/\/news.liga.net\/news\/politics\/888108-v_polshe_reshili_snesti_pamyatnik_voinam_upa.htm\">attempts<\/a>\u00a0to assert themselves by destroying the memorial, it remained in the cemetery near the Polish-Ukrainian border. However, after the Crimea annexation and the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Moscow mobilized its forces and organized a number of provocations in the territory of both Poland and Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>From the materials on Alexander Usovsky, which were shared exclusively with InformNapalm volunteers by <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/uca\/\">Ukrainian Cyber Alliance<\/a> hacktivists, it became clear that <strong>Moscow was behind the actions at the Hruszowice memorial<\/strong>. The UCA hacktivists and volunteers of International Intelligence Community InformNapalm foiled those plans by preventively publishing <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/kremlin-financing-polish-radicals-tasks-payments-reporting-moscow\/\">Usovsky&#8217;s correspondence with Polish nationalists<\/a>, where they discussed <strong>the actions at the Hruszowice memorial<\/strong>. This publication received significant attention in Ukrainian and Polish mass media and led to canceling or postponing Moscow\u2019s provocations.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the activities in Poland were planned by the people close to <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/surkovleaks-part2\/\"><strong>Vladislav Surkov<\/strong><\/a>, the aide to the President of the Russian Federation, and <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/35257-budni-instituta-stran-sng-zatulina\/\"><strong>Konstantin Zatulin<\/strong><\/a>, the Head of the Institute of CIS Countries and a Deputy of the State Duma, who is generously sponsored by Gazprom.<\/p>\n<p>After the Usovsky exposure, Moscow did not abandon its plans to drive a wedge between Ukraine and Poland. Provocations continue in the territory of both Ukraine and Poland. One of the recent incidents was the shooting of the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russia-afraid-intermarum\/\">Consulate General of Poland<\/a> in Lutsk. Now the Hruszowice memorial has been destroyed in Poland.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statements made by <a href=\"http:\/\/kresy.pl\/wydarzenia\/spolecznicy-rozbiora-pomnik-upa-w-hruszowicach-polskie-sluzby-probowaly-to-zablokowac\/\">Polish nationalists<\/a>, somebody in the ABW (the security service of Poland) requested to abstain from such actions, however, it appears Kremlin\u2019s demands were deemed to be more important than the opinion of local law enforcement agencies (or, the sum paid for the memorial destruction was so large that there was no going back?)<\/p>\n<p>It is strange, how the Polish nationalists play into the Kremlin\u2019s hand again and again, but Usovsky\u2019s correspondence has shown that everything has its price. Russia-USSR has already divided Poland. Can they do it again? Of course, they can. If Ukraine falls, Poland will be next. The photos of the destroyed memorial were posted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pavlo.podobed\/posts\/10212450771000884\">Facebook page<\/a> of Pavlo Podobed, who works in the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory. The photos also appeared on some\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.portalprzemyski.pl\/nielegalny-pomnik-upa-w-powiecie-przemyskim-rozebrany-po-23-latach-pierwsza-taka-akcja-w-polsce-galeria-zdjec\/\">Polish websites<\/a>.\r\n\r\nTwo years ago, unidentified persons tore a plaque off the memorial, which became a formal pretext to consider it need of repair.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_07521-300x172.jpg\" width=\"179\" height=\"107\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_07721-300x200.jpg\" width=\"151\" height=\"104\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_07781-300x155.jpg\" width=\"195\" height=\"106\" \/>\r\n\r\n<img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_07921-300x173.jpg\" width=\"167\" height=\"101\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_07961-300x140.jpg\" width=\"198\" height=\"98\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/img_08001-300x200.jpg\" width=\"165\" height=\"112\" \/>\r\nBesides, this memorial had been for a long time in the focus of attention of Polish nationalists, who believed that it had been erected illegally and, therefore, needed to be torn down. However, Ukrainian organizations insisted that the memorial was, in fact, a gravestone.\r\n\r\nDespite the Polish nationalists\u2019 <a href=\"http:\/\/news.liga.net\/news\/politics\/888108-v_polshe_reshili_snesti_pamyatnik_voinam_upa.htm\">attempts<\/a>\u00a0to assert themselves by destroying the memorial, it remained in the cemetery near the Polish-Ukrainian border. However, after the Crimea annexation and the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Moscow mobilized its forces and organized a number of provocations in the territory of both Poland and Ukraine.\r\n\r\nFrom the materials on Alexander Usovsky, which were shared exclusively with InformNapalm volunteers by <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/uca\/\">Ukrainian Cyber Alliance<\/a> hacktivists, it became clear that <strong>Moscow was behind the actions at the Hruszowice memorial<\/strong>. In August 2014, the memorial was desecrated as a result of one of Russia\u2019s provocations in Poland, for which the Kremlin allocated about <strong>100 thousand euros<\/strong>.\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/04\/poland.png\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10957\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/04\/poland.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"690\" height=\"380\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/04\/poland-2.png\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10958\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/04\/poland-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"819\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<!--more-->\r\n\r\n[toggle]\r\n[toggle_item title =\"\u00a0In russian: \"]\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/04\/screend.png\"><img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/04\/screend.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"690\" height=\"380\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10959\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/04\/screeno.png\"><img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/04\/screeno.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"690\" height=\"324\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10960\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n[\/toggle_item]\r\n[\/toggle]\r\n\r\nThe hack of <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/kremlin-behind-anti-ukrainian-protests-poland-analysis-hacked-correspondence\/\">Usovsky's<\/a> correspondence showed that in early 2017 he was planning a meeting with his Polish \u201cpartners\u201d with the purpose of organizing new provocations. The UCA hacktivists and volunteers of International Intelligence Community InformNapalm foiled those plans by preventively publishing <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/kremlin-financing-polish-radicals-tasks-payments-reporting-moscow\/\">Usovsky's correspondence with Polish nationalists<\/a>, where they discussed <strong>the actions at the Hruszowice memorial<\/strong>. This publication received significant attention in Ukrainian and Polish mass media and led to canceling or postponing Moscow\u2019s provocations.\r\n\r\nNotably, the activities in Poland were planned by the people close to <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/surkovleaks-part2\/\"><strong>Vladislav Surkov<\/strong><\/a>, the aide to the President of the Russian Federation, and <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/35257-budni-instituta-stran-sng-zatulina\/\"><strong>Konstantin Zatulin<\/strong><\/a>, the Head of the Institute of CIS Countries and a Deputy of the State Duma, who is generously sponsored by Gazprom.\r\n\r\nAfter the Usovsky exposure, Moscow did not abandon its plans to drive a wedge between Ukraine and Poland. Provocations continue in the territory of both Ukraine and Poland. One of the recent incidents was the shooting of the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russia-afraid-intermarum\/\">Consulate General of Poland<\/a> in Lutsk. Now the Hruszowice memorial has been destroyed in Poland.\r\n\r\nAccording to the statements made by <a href=\"http:\/\/kresy.pl\/wydarzenia\/spolecznicy-rozbiora-pomnik-upa-w-hruszowicach-polskie-sluzby-probowaly-to-zablokowac\/\">Polish nationalists<\/a>, somebody in the ABW (the security service of Poland) requested to abstain from such actions, however, it appears Kremlin\u2019s demands were deemed to be more important than the opinion of local law enforcement agencies (or, the sum paid for the memorial destruction was so large that there was no going back?)\r\n\r\nIt is strange, how the Polish nationalists play into the Kremlin\u2019s hand again and again, but Usovsky\u2019s correspondence has shown that everything has its price. Russia-USSR has already divided Poland. Can they do it again? Of course, they can. If Ukraine falls, Poland will be next.
