The <\/em><\/strong>Union of Donbas Volunteers (UDV)<\/em><\/strong><\/a> is an organization that has brought together under its roof the most notorious representatives of the \u201cRussian World\u2019s.\u201d They include <\/em><\/strong>A.\u00a0Boroday<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, the former \u201cprime minister\u201d of the \u201cDonetsk People’s Republic,\u201d <\/em><\/strong>A.\u00a0Milchakov<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, a neo-Nazi and a commander of the Rusich gang, <\/em><\/strong>S.\u00a0Dubinsky<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, a major-general of the Russian army <\/em><\/strong>(who is a well-known MH17 suspect), and many, many others. V.\u00a0<\/a><\/em><\/strong>Surkov<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation and Kremlin\u2019s gray cardinal, has been a special guest of all congresses of this organization. Up to date, the UDV is not subject to sanctions and still engages in financial transactions via, for instance, banks that are subject to sanctions. <\/em><\/strong>In this investigation, InformNapalm international intelligence community is analyzing activities of this terrorist organization on the basis of the accounting database of its 1S accounting software suite that has been handed over for review by hacktivists of the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Banning Russian Software. Operating Behind Enemy Lines<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ukraine\u2019s Internet community is hotly debating the Ukrainian sanctions imposed on Russian IT companies. In late April, InformNapalm reported Yandex, a Russian company,<\/a> and the risks associated with its operations in Ukraine. Our report caused a massive outcry, so we would like to offer one more example to demonstrate the danger of using the Russia-developed software.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian sanctions will also be imposed on the developer of \u201c1S:Bukhgalteria\u201d, a popular accounting software suite. This event came as a shock to the professional community because 1S features prominently in the Ukrainian accounting software market.<\/p>\n

However, let us have a look at the confidential information about operations of UDV terrorists, which hacktivists of the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance<\/a> (UCA) managed to extract from 1S record data.<\/p>\n

InformNapalm analysts were offered an UDV accounting database dump<\/a> from UCA hacktivists on exclusive terms and analyzed it in their own manner.<\/p>\n

The following is a list of employees of the terrorist organization indicating the payouts:<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This is an analysis of business transactions of the UDV:<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Separately, let us find out who gave money to mercenaries. The \u201cEthnoecology, Creativity, Society\u201d Education and Culture Support and Development Foundation for Nations of the World <\/em><\/strong>(with its Director General Sergey A.\u00a0Astanin) features all too often in the records. In 2016 and 2017, the Foundation supplied about RUB\u00a08,500,000 <\/strong>(equivalent to USD\u00a0140,000<\/strong>) to the UDV:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

However, there is not a single mention of this cooperation on the Foundation\u2019s website<\/a> (archive<\/a>).<\/p>\n

This summer, UDV has a plan to host \u201cVolunteers\u2019 Games\u201d (with a training camp for 120 people) at the expense of the \u201cEthnoecology, Creativity, Society\u201d Foundation.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It will cost RUB\u00a05,700,000.<\/strong> The Foundation seems to be camouflaging the Russian terrorists\u2019 funding link.<\/p>\n

The analysis of UDV\u2019s accounting records produced lists of Russian mercenaries in Donbas, registers of expenses on treatment of the wounded and tombstones for the killed, and a lot of other interesting information.<\/p>\n

For instance, the UDV is cooperating actively with their Serbian colleagues from SRPSKO-RUSK\u041e KOZACKO BRATSTVO NIT<\/strong>. In April 2017, they entered into an EUR\u00a029,300 contract <\/strong>for the construction of a monument to the Russian volunteers of the 1877-1878 Russo-Turkish war buried in Serbia (Gornji Adrovac).<\/p>\n

As usual, they asked the \u201cEthnoecology, Creativity, Society\u201d Foundation to transfer money to their account with Tempbank<\/strong> which is subject to U.S.\u00a0sanctions<\/a>:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

They entered into a contract with the Serbians for the monument construction and grounds beautification:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Initially, they were going to make a payment via Tempbank; eventually, however, the Union of Donbas Volunteers used a different current account with the Crimean Genbank<\/strong><\/a>, which is also subject to the U.S. sanctions. The payment had to be routed as follows:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

JSC GENBANK Moscow, Russia, S.W.I.F.T.: GEOORUMM \u211630109978400000002490 with SVIAZ-BANK, Moscow, Russia, SWIFT: SVIZRUMM Acc. 0104432398 with VTB BANK (DEUTSCHLAND) AG(SWIFT:OWHBDEFF)<\/em><\/p>\n

It appears that the U.S.-sanctioned Genbank engages into international transactions via Sviaz-Bank and VTB\u2019s branch in Germany. The United States would be well advised to place financial transactions on these accounts under closer scrutiny.<\/p>\n

It is also evident from accounting records that UDV issues referrals for ex-mercenaries to sanatoriums in the Crimea. There are hundreds of receipts in UDV\u2019s accounting records proving the payment for the medical treatment and recuperation of former militants.<\/p>\n

By the way, Valery Bolotov<\/strong>, the first head of the \u201cLPR,\u201d was suddenly paid RUB\u00a0100,000 in welfare assistance <\/strong>while rank-and-file ex-fighters were waiting for their prosthetics and surgeries:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Notably, the documents are dated January 26, 2017, just one day before Bolotov <\/strong>died unexpectedly<\/strong><\/a> in his apartment in Moscow. Is it coincidence? Or did Bolotov actually die one day before, and someone made an attempt to issue welfare aid for him post factum? It is up to journalists to investigate.<\/p>\n

It is worth mentioning that the number of wounded Russian mercenaries is indicative of substantial losses suffered by Russia\u2019s army in Donbas. On a separate note, the UDV should be commended for its strict accounting procedures. Thanks to that, all the information above has been made public.<\/p>\n

brought together under its roof the most notorious representatives of the \u201cRussian World\u2019s.\u201d They include <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/mercenaries-donbass-revealed-former-deputy-head-fsb\/\"><strong><em>A.\u00a0Boroday<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>, the former \u201cprime minister\u201d of the \u201cDonetsk People's Republic,\u201d <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/1102-pyterskye-neonatsysty-na-sluzhbe-terrorystycheskoj-organyzatsyy-luganskaya-narodnaya-respublyka\/\"><strong><em>A.\u00a0Milchakov<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>, a neo-Nazi and a commander of the Rusich gang, <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/focus-russian-major-general-suspect-mh17-case\/\"><strong><em>S.\u00a0Dubinsky<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>, a major-general of the Russian army <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>(who is a well-known MH17 suspect), and many, many others. <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/hackers-show-truth-behind-ex-russian-duma-deputy-voronenkov-s-statements-surkov-s-innocence-photos-audio\/\">V.\u00a0<\/a><\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/hackers-show-truth-behind-ex-russian-duma-deputy-voronenkov-s-statements-surkov-s-innocence-photos-audio\/\"><strong><em>Surkov<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>, the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation and Kremlin\u2019s gray cardinal, has been a special guest of all congresses of this organization. Up to date, the UDV is not subject to sanctions and still engages in financial transactions via, for instance, banks that are subject to sanctions. <\/em><\/strong><strong>In this investigation, InformNapalm international intelligence community is analyzing activities of this terrorist organization on the basis of the accounting database of its 1S accounting software suite that has been handed over for review by hacktivists of the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance.\u00a0 <\/strong>\r\n<h3><strong>Banning Russian Software. Operating Behind Enemy Lines<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nUkraine\u2019s Internet community is hotly debating the Ukrainian sanctions imposed on Russian IT companies. In late April, InformNapalm reported <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/35808-gibridnye-vojny-yandeks\/\">Yandex, a Russian company,<\/a> and the risks associated with its operations in Ukraine. Our report caused a massive outcry, so we would like to offer one more example to demonstrate the danger of using the Russia-developed software.\r\n\r\nUkrainian sanctions will also be imposed on the developer of \u201c1S:Bukhgalteria\u201d, a popular accounting software suite. This event came as a shock to the professional community because 1S features prominently in the Ukrainian accounting software market.\r\n\r\nHowever, let us have a look at the confidential information about operations of UDV terrorists, which hacktivists of the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/uca\/\">Ukrainian Cyber Alliance<\/a> (UCA) managed to extract from 1S record data.\r\n\r\nInformNapalm analysts were offered an <a href=\"https:\/\/ordilo.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/SDD.zip\">UDV accounting database dump<\/a> from UCA hacktivists on exclusive terms and analyzed it in their own manner.\r\n\r\n<em>The following is a list of employees of the terrorist organization indicating the payouts:<\/em>\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/1c-1024x553.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\n<em>This is an analysis of business transactions of the UDV:<\/em>\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/2c-1024x386.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\nSeparately, let us find out who gave money to mercenaries. The <strong><em>\u201cEthnoecology, Creativity, Society\u201d Education and Culture Support and Development Foundation for Nations of the World <\/em><\/strong>(with its Director General Sergey A.\u00a0Astanin) features all too often in the records. In 2016 and 2017, the Foundation supplied about <strong>RUB\u00a08,500,000 <\/strong>(equivalent to <strong>USD\u00a0140,000<\/strong>) to the UDV:\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/3c-1024x419.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\nHowever, there is not a single mention of this cooperation on the Foundation\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/etofond.ru\/proektyi\/\">website<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.fo\/FUDNS\">archive<\/a>).\r\n\r\nThis summer, UDV has a plan to host \u201cVolunteers\u2019 Games\u201d (with a training camp for 120 people) at the expense of the \u201cEthnoecology, Creativity, Society\u201d Foundation.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/igry_1-219x300.jpg\" width=\"163\" height=\"218\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/igry_2-219x300.jpg\" width=\"164\" height=\"220\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/igry_3-218x300.jpg\" width=\"162\" height=\"218\" \/>\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/fond_2.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\nIt will cost <strong>RUB\u00a05,700,000.<\/strong> The Foundation seems to be camouflaging the Russian terrorists\u2019 funding link.\r\n\r\nThe analysis of UDV\u2019s accounting records produced lists of Russian mercenaries in Donbas, registers of expenses on treatment of the wounded and tombstones for the killed, and a lot of other interesting information.\r\n\r\nFor instance, the UDV is cooperating actively with their Serbian colleagues from <strong>SRPSKO-RUSK\u041e KOZACKO BRATSTVO NIT<\/strong>. In April 2017, they entered into an <strong>EUR\u00a029,300 contract <\/strong>for the construction of a monument to the Russian volunteers of the 1877-1878 Russo-Turkish war buried in Serbia (Gornji Adrovac).\r\n\r\nAs usual, they asked the \u201cEthnoecology, Creativity, Society\u201d Foundation to transfer money to their account with <strong>Tempbank<\/strong> which is subject to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.treasury.gov\/press-center\/press-releases\/Pages\/jl2391.aspx\">U.S.\u00a0sanctions<\/a>:\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/29300.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\nThey entered into a contract with the Serbians for the monument construction and grounds beautification:\r\n\r\n<img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/dogovor_1-217x300.jpg\" width=\"160\" height=\"218\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/dogovor_2-217x300.jpg\" width=\"160\" height=\"218\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/dogovor_3-218x300.jpg\" width=\"161\" height=\"218\" \/>\r\n\r\n<img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/dogovor_4-217x300.jpg\" width=\"160\" height=\"218\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/dogovor_5-218x300.jpg\" width=\"161\" height=\"218\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/dogovor_6-217x300.jpg\" width=\"160\" height=\"218\" \/>\r\n\r\nInitially, they were going to make a payment via Tempbank; eventually, however, the Union of Donbas Volunteers used a different current account with the Crimean <a href=\"https:\/\/www.treasury.gov\/resource-center\/sanctions\/OFAC-Enforcement\/Pages\/20151222.aspx\"><strong>Genbank<\/strong><\/a>, which is also subject to the U.S. sanctions. The payment had to be routed as follows:\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/genbank_1-219x300.jpg\" \/><img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/genbank_2-219x300.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/genbank-1.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\n<em>JSC GENBANK Moscow, Russia, S.W.I.F.T.: GEOORUMM \u211630109978400000002490 with SVIAZ-BANK, Moscow, Russia, SWIFT: SVIZRUMM Acc. 0104432398 with VTB BANK (DEUTSCHLAND) AG(SWIFT:OWHBDEFF)<\/em>\r\n\r\nIt appears that the U.S.-sanctioned Genbank engages into international transactions via Sviaz-Bank and VTB\u2019s branch in Germany. The United States would be well advised to place financial transactions on these accounts under closer scrutiny.\r\n\r\nIt is also evident from accounting records that UDV issues referrals for ex-mercenaries to sanatoriums in the Crimea. There are hundreds of receipts in UDV\u2019s accounting records proving the payment for the medical treatment and recuperation of former militants.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/krym_2016-218x300.jpg\" width=\"161\" height=\"218\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/krym_2017.jpg-218x300.jpeg\" width=\"161\" height=\"218\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/krym_2017_1-239x300.jpg\" width=\"175\" height=\"218\" \/>\r\n\r\nBy the way, <strong>Valery Bolotov<\/strong>, the first head of the \u201cLPR,\u201d was suddenly paid <strong>RUB\u00a0100,000 in welfare assistance <\/strong>while rank-and-file ex-fighters were waiting for their prosthetics and surgeries:\r\n\r\n<img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/bolotov_1-232x300.jpg\" width=\"170\" height=\"217\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/bolotov_2-231x300.jpg\" width=\"170\" height=\"218\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/bolotov_3-231x300.jpg\" width=\"170\" height=\"218\" \/>\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nNotably, the documents are dated <strong>January 26, 2017, just one day before Bolotov <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ria.ru\/world\/20170127\/1486662842.html\"><strong>died unexpectedly<\/strong><\/a> in his apartment in Moscow. Is it coincidence? Or did Bolotov actually die one day before, and someone made an attempt to issue welfare aid for him post factum? It is up to journalists to investigate.\r\n\r\nIt is worth mentioning that the number of wounded Russian mercenaries is indicative of substantial losses suffered by Russia\u2019s army in Donbas. On a separate note, the UDV should be commended for its strict accounting procedures.
