{"id":1853,"date":"2014-10-14T22:00:42","date_gmt":"2014-10-14T20:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/?p=1853"},"modified":"2015-12-24T14:50:34","modified_gmt":"2015-12-24T14:50:34","slug":"tankman-russian-officer-17th-independent-motor-rifle-brigade-participated-armed-hostilities-donbas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/tankman-russian-officer-17th-independent-motor-rifle-brigade-participated-armed-hostilities-donbas\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cTankman\u201d: Russian Officer of the 17th Independent Motorized Rifle Brigade Who Participated in Armed Hostilities in Donbas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the course of the identification of the Russian units participating in the undeclared war against Ukraine, we identified a tank unit\u00a0and one of its officers from\u00a0the 17th Guards Motorized\u00a0Rifle Brigade (military unit No. 23132, Southern Military District, Shali, Republic of Chechnya, Russia).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/sn1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2184 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/sn1.jpg\" alt=\"sn\" width=\"1230\" height=\"828\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The acquired photographs confirm information that the Russian units were directly involved into fights\u00a0near Pervomaiskyi and Stepanivka settlements (Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine). Mass media repeatedly <a href=\"http:\/\/uapress.info\/ru\/news\/show\/35229\">wrote<\/a> about the Russian tanks participated in combat actions in the area of Stepanivka.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/jps-privyzka.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2180 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/jps-privyzka.jpg\" alt=\"jps privyzka\" width=\"1051\" height=\"729\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is not the first case of identification of the units of the 17th Motorized\u00a0Rifle Brigade in Ukraine: we wrote about the presence of that brigade in the area of Pervomaiskyi in <a title=\"The 17th Motorized Brigade of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation is in Ukraine\" href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/17th-motorized-brigade-southern-military-district-russian-federation-ukraine\/\">September<\/a>. The 17th Brigade also had combat losses in August, 2014; we know of at least four its servicemen killed in action.<\/p>\n<p>According to preliminary estimations, despite the claims by the Russians on the withdrawal of their troops, servicemen\u00a0of\u00a0the 17th Brigade and other Russian units still remain in Ukraine working as instructors and advisers, as well as working as contract soldiers in the forces of\u00a0the DPR and LPR. Mass media repeatedly <a href=\"http:\/\/uapress.info\/ru\/news\/show\/35229\">wrote<\/a> about the Russian tanks participated in combat actions in the area of Stepanivka.\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/jps-privyzka.jpg\"><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-2180 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/jps-privyzka.jpg\" alt=\"jps privyzka\" width=\"1051\" height=\"729\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\nThis is not the first case of identification of the units of the 17th Motorized\u00a0Rifle Brigade in Ukraine: we wrote about the presence of that brigade in the area of Pervomaiskyi in <a title=\"The 17th Motorized Brigade of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation is in Ukraine\" href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/17th-motorized-brigade-southern-military-district-russian-federation-ukraine\/\">September<\/a>. The 17th Brigade also had combat losses in August, 2014; we know of at least four its servicemen killed in action.\r\n\r\nAccording to preliminary estimations, despite the claims by the Russians on the withdrawal of their troops, servicemen\u00a0of\u00a0the 17th Brigade and other Russian units still remain in Ukraine working as instructors and advisers, as well as working as contract soldiers in the forces of\u00a0the DPR and LPR.
