While performing\u00a0OSINT monitoring of\u00a0social profiles of\u00a0‘DPR\/LPR’ militants<\/strong>\u00a0we found another\u00a0Russian contract soldier,\u00a0who\u00a0is a scout from the 291st separate artillery brigade and who joined an\u00a0illegal armed formation of ‘Novorossiya’ in occupied Donbas.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the identification and analysis of Aleksei Krivdin<\/a>‘s VK profile (archive<\/a>, photo album archive<\/a>, contacts archive<\/a>) we found the following information:<\/p>\n

Aleksei Valeryanovich Krivdin, born on May 20, 1994, residing at\u00a0Kuybysheva str., 5, apt. 7, Volzhsky (Volgograd Oblast, Russia), phone No.\u00a089061687623.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A. Krivdin served in the 3rd air defense battery<\/a> of the ‘Tor-M1’ air defense division of the 19th separate motorized rifle brigade<\/a> (military unit No. 20634, Vladikavkaz, the 58th general army, Southern Military District, North Ossetia, Russia). He was\u00a0transferred\u00a0to the reserve as\u00a0junior sergeant in June, 2013.<\/p>\n

\"1<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\"3<\/a>\"101<\/a>\u00a0\"tori<\/a><\/p>\n

In October of 2014 Krivdin submitted documents<\/a>\u00a0for a 3-year contract to the military recruiting office of Volgograd. He applied for a position of a scout in the 291st artillery brigade (military unit No. 64670, Southern Military District, Troitskaya, Republic of Ingushetia, Russia).\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

As for December 4, 2014, A. Krivdin\u00a0served as a contract serviceman\u00a0in Caucasus.<\/a><\/p>\n

In\u00a0January of this year, Krivdin was sent to Donbas, to serve in ‘Oplot’, the 4th battalion of ‘DPR’.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Note: the process of signing a contract with the Russian army consists of several steps. The first and the most important one is to get a so-called ‘reference’ from a certain military unit with specification of the open vacancy. A candidate who has\u00a0such ‘reference’ visits\u00a0the local military office and fills in the\u00a0application form for a 3-year contract in that military unit. Then the military office, based on the ‘reference’ and the candidate’s application, carries out the needed procedures (medical\u00a0examination, profile filling in, etc) to enroll a soldier. Then contract serviceman is sent to the military unit location.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

This is not the first case of mutation of the Russian contract servicemen to militants of ‘Novorossiya’. We have published several articles how\u00a0the Russian soldiers become<\/a>\u00a0‘DPR\/LPR’ militants. One of the last cases was studied in this material – “Russian Contract Soldier from the 7th Base Fights as ‘DPR’ Militant<\/a>“.<\/p>\n

Also we would like to\u00a0note that the units above – the 19th motorized rifle brigade and the 291st artillery brigade – have been mentioned for several times in the context of the ‘Rostov-Ukraine assignments’:<\/p>\n
