Already at that time Evgeniy\u00a0tended to <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/BXr58\">mask his face<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>\u0421ivil employment: after retirement he spent some time <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/BSveH\">working as a\u00a0maintenance man<\/a> for the Russian Railways company.<\/li>\n<li>Contract service: In the end of July, 2015, Starkov started to gather documents in order <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/BzMal\">to sign a contract<\/a> with the Russian Ministry of Defense, to serve in the 74th separate motorized rifle brigade (military unit No. 21005, the 41st general army, Central Military District, Yurga, Kemerovo Oblast, Russia)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/41.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19748\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-19748 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/41.jpg\" alt=\"41\" width=\"768\" height=\"652\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is difficult to say what\u00a0is\u00a0the fate of\u00a0Starkov, meaning we do not know his\u00a0current status.\u00a0But right before leaving for\u00a0Donbas,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/TQWyE\">he posed<\/a> in a mask, &#8216;Gorka&#8217; uniform and an\u00a0assault vest\u00a0most likely handed\u00a0by his employer from the Russian Ministry of Defence.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/35.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19754\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-19754 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/35.jpg\" alt=\"35\" width=\"766\" height=\"898\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>By\u00a0October 20, 2015, Starkov had been in the ranks of &#8216;militia&#8217; <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/skiRJ\">for 3 months<\/a>.\u00a0Either way, being a citizen of the Russian Federation, Starkov fights against Ukraine, and there are just two possible options:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The contract was urgently signed and Starkov was sent to &#8216;faculty of professional skills upgrading&#8217; in Donbas.<\/li>\n<li>Starkov was asked to show &#8216;what he can do&#8217;, so he left for\u00a0Donbas on his own in order to prove he was good enough for official service in the Russian army.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/18.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19749\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-19749 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/18.jpg\" alt=\"18\" width=\"757\" height=\"909\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These assumptions are based on several facts. In particular, besides the tendency of the Russian servicemen to gather the battle experience in the illegal armed formations of &#8216;Novorossiya&#8217; (refer to article\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/novorossiya-militant-s-contract-was-finalized-in-military-recruiting-office-of-volgograd-russia\/\">\u2018Novorossiya\u2019 Militant\u2019s Contract Was Finalized in Military Recruiting Office of Volgograd, Russia<\/a>), there is another one as well. Taking soldiers on contract service, the Russian authorities give preferences to candidates who have toughened up during their\u00a0individual trips to Donbas. For example, in the end of January of 2016, we disclosed a militant from the &#8216;Sparta&#8217; formation, who got a travel order in Lipetsk military office to go to the permanent disposition location (see <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/jan31-ex-terrorist-contract-rf\/\">Ex-Terrorist from \u2018Sparta\u2019 Gang Signed Contract with the Russian Northern Fleet<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>As you can recall, this is not the first time we find the Russian contract servicemen from the 74th brigade in the ranks of the so-called &#8216;Novorossiya&#8217;. In the end of October 2015, we found a soldier from this\u00a0military unit, who served both as a Russian contract soldier and a militant of the 3rd &#8216;Hooligans&#8217; battalion of &#8216;LPR&#8217; (read <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/the-russian-74th-brigade-s-contract-servicemen-fight-in-donbas-as-hooligans\/\">The Russian 74th Brigade\u2019s Contract Servicemen Fight in Donbas As Hooligans<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a074th brigade\u00a0from Yurga has been repeatedly mentioned in our earliest publications too.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russia-concentrates-military-forces-border-donbass\/\">In November of 2014<\/a> we found:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>pictures of the\u00a0soldiers from this\u00a0brigade taken in the field camps near the Ukrainian border. Already at that time Evgeniy\u00a0tended to <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/BXr58\">mask his face<\/a>.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>\u0421ivil employment: after retirement he spent some time <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/BSveH\">working as a\u00a0maintenance man<\/a> for the Russian Railways company.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Contract service: In the end of July, 2015, Starkov started to gather documents in order <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/BzMal\">to sign a contract<\/a> with the Russian Ministry of Defense, to serve in the 74th separate motorized rifle brigade (military unit No. 21005, the 41st general army, Central Military District, Yurga, Kemerovo Oblast, Russia)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/41.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19748\"><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-19748 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/41.jpg\" alt=\"41\" width=\"768\" height=\"652\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\nIt is difficult to say what\u00a0is\u00a0the fate of\u00a0Starkov, meaning we do not know his\u00a0current status.\u00a0But right before leaving for\u00a0Donbas,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/TQWyE\">he posed<\/a> in a mask, 'Gorka' uniform and an\u00a0assault vest\u00a0most likely handed\u00a0by his employer from the Russian Ministry of Defence.\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/35.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19754\"><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-19754 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/35.jpg\" alt=\"35\" width=\"766\" height=\"898\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\nBy\u00a0October 20, 2015, Starkov had been in the ranks of 'militia' <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/skiRJ\">for 3 months<\/a>.\u00a0Either way, being a citizen of the Russian Federation, Starkov fights against Ukraine, and there are just two possible options:\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li>The contract was urgently signed and Starkov was sent to 'faculty of professional skills upgrading' in Donbas.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Starkov was asked to show 'what he can do', so he left for\u00a0Donbas on his own in order to prove he was good enough for official service in the Russian army.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/18.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-19749\"><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-19749 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/18.jpg\" alt=\"18\" width=\"757\" height=\"909\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\nThese assumptions are based on several facts. In particular, besides the tendency of the Russian servicemen to gather the battle experience in the illegal armed formations of 'Novorossiya' (refer to article\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/novorossiya-militant-s-contract-was-finalized-in-military-recruiting-office-of-volgograd-russia\/\">\u2018Novorossiya\u2019 Militant\u2019s Contract Was Finalized in Military Recruiting Office of Volgograd, Russia<\/a>), there is another one as well. Taking soldiers on contract service, the Russian authorities give preferences to candidates who have toughened up during their\u00a0individual trips to Donbas. For example, in the end of January of 2016, we disclosed a militant from the 'Sparta' formation, who got a travel order in Lipetsk military office to go to the permanent disposition location (see <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/jan31-ex-terrorist-contract-rf\/\">Ex-Terrorist from \u2018Sparta\u2019 Gang Signed Contract with the Russian Northern Fleet<\/a>).\r\n\r\nAs you can recall, this is not the first time we find the Russian contract servicemen from the 74th brigade in the ranks of the so-called 'Novorossiya'. In the end of October 2015, we found a soldier from this\u00a0military unit, who served both as a Russian contract soldier and a militant of the 3rd 'Hooligans' battalion of 'LPR' (read <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/the-russian-74th-brigade-s-contract-servicemen-fight-in-donbas-as-hooligans\/\">The Russian 74th Brigade\u2019s Contract Servicemen Fight in Donbas As Hooligans<\/a>).\r\n\r\nThe\u00a074th brigade\u00a0from Yurga has been repeatedly mentioned in our earliest publications too.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russia-concentrates-military-forces-border-donbass\/\">In November of 2014<\/a> we found:\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>pictures of the\u00a0soldiers from this\u00a0brigade taken in the field camps near the Ukrainian border.
