Video 18+<\/a>&#8220;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The investigation has caused a considerable stir in media, and the video was viewed by more than 80 000 people already in the first days after the publication (apart from\u00a0showing it on TV channels which cover hundreds of thousands of viewers).<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pA8iGJ92m2Y\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>But the real surprise was the reaction of Nikolai\u00a0Reichenau, the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service operative, to this\u00a0publication of the facts of his participation in the war on the territory of Ukraine. He filed a &#8216;confidentiality&#8217; complaint on the video posted on the InformNapalm community&#8217;s official YouTube-channel demanding its removal.\u00a0Similar complaints were received by other official channels which had slides\u00a0from the video in their news stories.<\/p>\n<p>It was stated in the message from YouTube&#8217;s administration that InformNapalm was given 48 hours for a decision on removal of the video or editing it for the purpose of anonymization of the investigation figurant.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/ZHaloba-SHturma.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-20779\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20779\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/ZHaloba-SHturma.jpg\" alt=\"\u0416\u0430\u043b\u043e\u0431\u0430 \u0428\u0442\u0443\u0440\u043c\u0430\" width=\"656\" height=\"664\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Are 48 hours enough for making the right decision about\u00a0retreat or counterattack? We carried out a series of consultations with the readers who have a law degree, but almost all of them argued that we had almost no chances and the &#8216;confidentiality&#8217; complaint, filed by the\u00a0FSEP employee, was likely to be satisfied.<\/p>\n<p>But <strong>the InformNapalm international community does not negotiate with terrorists, even with the state level ones<\/strong>, and does not believe that their &#8216;right for\u00a0confidentiality&#8217; can have\u00a0a higher priority than the right of every citizen of Ukraine and the world community to know the terrorists by sight\u00a0and get incontrovertible evidence of their crimes.\u00a0It was decided to conduct a social survey on Facebook among the readers of our site to find legislative and regulatory documents, links to which can tip the balance\u00a0in favor of our community.<\/p>\n<p>And already in the first hours of the survey, we received a number of interesting links to legislation and documents on the basis of which we prepared our answer to YouTube&#8217;s administration, and\u00a0presented counter arguments proving\u00a0inadmissibility of changing or deleting the InformNapalm&#8217;s video.<\/p>\n<p><em>You can find the full text of our\u00a0answer here: <strong>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/mar04-youtube-open-letter\/\">An Open Letter to YouTube: A Terrorist of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service Filed a Complaint for \u2018Breach of Confidentiality<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/mar04-youtube-open-letter\/\">\u2019<\/a>&#8220;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And yesterday, on March 8,\u00a0after a long consideration, YouTube&#8217;s administration sent us its\u00a0decision:<strong> &#8220;&#8230; the mentioned content does not violate our rules regarding the confidentiality and will not be removed&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/111.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-21032\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21032\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/111.jpg\" alt=\"111\" width=\"585\" height=\"305\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>This can be considered as a precedent of real\u00a0collective victory. Thanks to the public resonance and brainstorming of hundreds of people, we managed to find the right solution in a seemingly hopeless situation.
