Border guards of the Donetsk group detained a 24 years old citizen of the Russian Federation involved in gathering information on the location of Ukrainian military. The guards detained the man who cycled in from Veselo-Voznesenska (the Russian Federation) towards Novoazovsk (on the Azov Sea, Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine). The detainee had no identifying documents.<\/p>\n

In the course of identification it was found that the detainee was a citizen of Rostov Oblast, the Russian Federation and was traveling to Mariupol to gather information on the availability and location of Ukrainian checkpoints.<\/p>\n

The man confessed that two unidentified persons asked him to illegally cross the border and gather information in return for a financial reward. After completion of the assignment he had to return to Russia and report back adequate data in order to collect the reward.<\/p>\n
