We identified base camps built in Millerovsky and Oktyabrsky Raions and transitional bases located very close to the border, from where Russian battalion and company tactical groups were going to the Donbas. In August-September of 2014, our community tracked a large-scale movement of troops and weapons from the four Russian military districts to Rostov Oblast and identified the military formations and units, from which tactical groups were formed and went on the so-called \u201cRostov-Ukrainian business trips\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/identification-units-russian-armed-forces-deployed-fight-eastern-ukraine\/\">Units of the Russian Armed Forces Which Have Been Deployed to Fight in Eastern Ukraine<\/a>, September 19, 2014<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/identification-military-units-armament-artillery-elements-russian-invasion-forces\/\">Identification of Military Units and the Armament of Artillery Elements of the Russian Invasion Forces<\/a>, September 30, 2014<\/p>\n<p>Following that, we gathered evidence to support our initial information. In the two and a half years, we have collected facts confirming the participation of more than 70 units of the Russian Armed Forces and Internal Troops (&#8220;National Guard&#8221;) of the Russian Interior Ministry in the fighting in Ukraine and described more than 150 incidents involving Russian servicemen.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Infographics: <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russianpresence\/\">Professional Russian Army in Ukraine. Database: incidents and military units<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Two years later, a situation in Rostov Oblast is very similar to what we saw back in 2014. Dozens of battalion\/company tactical groups are still on alert on the border with Ukraine, in cooperation with the Center of territorial troops (the former 12th Reserve Command), as well as with the so-called army corps of the DPR\/LPR which are led by Russian officers, sent there as military advisors.<\/p>\n<p>Monitoring of the situation at the Russian-Ukrainian border in Rostov Oblast remains a high priority for the InformNapalm community. Though we haven\u2019t published many updates on this subject lately, we continue to monitor the operational situation in the territories of potential threat.<\/p>\n<p>Here we provide a list of tactical groups from the Russian Southern Military District held on duty on a rotational basis, which in addition to military training improve their skills of camouflage and the transformation from the Russian military into &#8220;miners of rebellious Donbas&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/7.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/14.jpg\" width=\"276\" height=\"154\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/21.jpg\" width=\"277\" height=\"156\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Battalion tactical group of the 34<sup>th<\/sup> Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade (military unit #01485, village of Storozhevaya, Karachay-Cherkessia);<\/li>\n<li>Battalion tactical group of the 7<sup>th<\/sup> Military Base (military unit #09332, town of Gudauta, occupied Abkhazia, Georgia);<\/li>\n<li>Battalion tactical group of the 205<sup>th<\/sup> Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (military unit #74814, town of Budennovsk, Stavropol Krai);<\/li>\n<li>Battalion tactical group of the 33<sup>rd<\/sup> Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade (military unit #22179, town of Maikop, Adygea\/Novocherkassk, Rostov Oblast);<\/li>\n<li>Company tactical group of the 22<sup>nd<\/sup> Separate Spetsnaz Brigade (military unit #11659, village of Stepnoy, Rostov Oblast).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/22-gru-rostov.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We emphasize that the list is incomplete. Here we listed only those tactical groups that have been noticed in Rostov Oblast on a regular basis. It is possible that they are the core of the new 150<sup>th<\/sup> Motorized Rifle Division of the 49<sup>th<\/sup> Army, its formation is going to start shortly. Note that we repeatedly recorded all of the aforementioned military units and their servicemen in the initial stages of Russian aggression in the Donbas as tactical groups of the Russian Armed Forces, and later, as part of the illegal armed forces of \u201cNovorossia\u201d, disguised as local \u201crebels\u201d.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Russian troops as part of the illegal armed forces <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We recorded groups and servicemen serving in \u201cNovorossia\u2019s\u201d illegal armed forces deployed from the following Russian units:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; from the Southern Military District: the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/the-snipers-of-the-19th-brigade-in-the-ranks-of-somali-armed-formation\/\">19th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Vladikavkaz, North Ossetia), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/3-trips-from-18th-brigade\/\">18th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Kalynovskaya, Chechnya), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/tracking-down-a-scout-from-the-136th-brigade\/\">136th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Buinaksk, Dagestan), the 7th military base, see<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russian-contract-soldier-from-the-7th-base-fights-as-dpr-militant\/\"> 1<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/jan10-donbas-games\/\">2<\/a> (Gudauta, occupied Abkhazia, Georgia), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russian-contract-servicemen-of-the-205th-smrb-in-ukraine\/\">205th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Budennovsk, Stavropol Krai), \u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/the-russian-8th-motorized-rifle-brigade-as-part-of-the-people-s-militia-of-lnr\/\">8th Separate Mountain Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Borzoi, Chechnya), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/novorossiya-militant-s-contract-was-finalized-in-military-recruiting-office-of-volgograd-russia\/\">291st Artillery Brigade<\/a> (Troitskaya, Ingushetia), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russian-33th-brigade-in-donetsk\/\">33th Separate Nountain Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Maikop, Adygea) the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/jan13-donbas-34th\/\">34th Separate Mountain Motor Rifle Brigade \u00a0<\/a>(Storozhevaya, Karachay-Cherkessia);<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; from the Central Military District: \u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/the-russian-74th-brigade-s-contract-servicemen-fight-in-donbas-as-hooligans\/\">74th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Yugra, Kemerovo Oblast), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/the-23rd-brigade-s-armed-vehicles-and-personnel-as-part-of-novorossiya-s-armed-formations\/\">23rd Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Samara), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/uses-15th-motorized-rifle-brigade\/\">15th \u201cPeacekeeping\u201d Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Roshchinskyi garrison in Samara Oblast), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/feb11-donbas-antiair\/\">21st Separate Motor Rifle Brigad<\/a>e (Orenburg), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/recon-contract-soldier-from-russia-s-28th-motorized-rifle-brigade-fights-in-pyatnashka-in-the-donbas\/\">28th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Ekaterinburg\/partially Klintsy, the Western Military District), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/paratroopers-of-the-31st-brigade-from-ulyanovsk-as-patriot-militants-in-donbas\/\">31st Separate Air Assault Brigade<\/a> of the Airborne Troops (Ulyanovsk).<\/p>\n<p>Also, units of the Russian <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/nov29-donbass-247\/\">Airborne Troops<\/a>, Spetsnaz of the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russian-servicemen-of-the-22nd-spetsnaz-gru-brigade-identified-on-a-combat-mission-in-luhansk\/\">Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/investigation-revealed-soldiers-russian-national-guard\/\">National Guard<\/a> of the Internal Troops and other Russian security and law enforcement<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/mar04-youtube-open-letter\/\"> agencies<\/a> were involved.<\/p>\n<p>On September 6-11, International Military-Technical Forum <a href=\"http:\/\/novocherkassk.net\/news\/2016\/09\/43454-segodnya-na-poligone-kadamovskiy-sostoyalos-otkrytie-mezhdunarodnogo-voenno-tehnicheskogo-foruma-armiya-2016\/\">Army 2016<\/a> took place at the field camp Kadamovsky in Rostov Oblast. It demonstrated the full power of the Russian Armed Forces concentrated at the Ukrainian border. Despite very limited information from official sources, we have found some photos taken at this event. We identified base camps built in Millerovsky and Oktyabrsky Raions and transitional bases located very close to the border, from where Russian battalion and company tactical groups were going to the Donbas. In August-September of 2014, our community tracked a large-scale movement of troops and weapons from the four Russian military districts to Rostov Oblast and identified the military formations and units, from which tactical groups were formed and went on the so-called \u201cRostov-Ukrainian business trips\u201d.\r\n\r\n-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/identification-units-russian-armed-forces-deployed-fight-eastern-ukraine\/\">Units of the Russian Armed Forces Which Have Been Deployed to Fight in Eastern Ukraine<\/a>, September 19, 2014\r\n\r\n-\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/identification-military-units-armament-artillery-elements-russian-invasion-forces\/\">Identification of Military Units and the Armament of Artillery Elements of the Russian Invasion Forces<\/a>, September 30, 2014\r\n\r\nFollowing that, we gathered evidence to support our initial information. In the two and a half years, we have collected facts confirming the participation of more than 70 units of the Russian Armed Forces and Internal Troops (\"National Guard\") of the Russian Interior Ministry in the fighting in Ukraine and described more than 150 incidents involving Russian servicemen.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Infographics: <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russianpresence\/\">Professional Russian Army in Ukraine. Database: incidents and military units<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nTwo years later, a situation in Rostov Oblast is very similar to what we saw back in 2014. Dozens of battalion\/company tactical groups are still on alert on the border with Ukraine, in cooperation with the Center of territorial troops (the former 12th Reserve Command), as well as with the so-called army corps of the DPR\/LPR which are led by Russian officers, sent there as military advisors.\r\n\r\nMonitoring of the situation at the Russian-Ukrainian border in Rostov Oblast remains a high priority for the InformNapalm community. Though we haven\u2019t published many updates on this subject lately, we continue to monitor the operational situation in the territories of potential threat.\r\n\r\nHere we provide a list of tactical groups from the Russian Southern Military District held on duty on a rotational basis, which in addition to military training improve their skills of camouflage and the transformation from the Russian military into \"miners of rebellious Donbas\":\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/7.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\n<img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/14.jpg\" width=\"276\" height=\"154\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/21.jpg\" width=\"277\" height=\"156\" \/>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Battalion tactical group of the 34<sup>th<\/sup> Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade (military unit #01485, village of Storozhevaya, Karachay-Cherkessia);<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Battalion tactical group of the 7<sup>th<\/sup> Military Base (military unit #09332, town of Gudauta, occupied Abkhazia, Georgia);<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Battalion tactical group of the 205<sup>th<\/sup> Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (military unit #74814, town of Budennovsk, Stavropol Krai);<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Battalion tactical group of the 33<sup>rd<\/sup> Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade (military unit #22179, town of Maikop, Adygea\/Novocherkassk, Rostov Oblast);<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Company tactical group of the 22<sup>nd<\/sup> Separate Spetsnaz Brigade (military unit #11659, village of Stepnoy, Rostov Oblast).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/22-gru-rostov.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\nWe emphasize that the list is incomplete. Here we listed only those tactical groups that have been noticed in Rostov Oblast on a regular basis. It is possible that they are the core of the new 150<sup>th<\/sup> Motorized Rifle Division of the 49<sup>th<\/sup> Army, its formation is going to start shortly. Note that we repeatedly recorded all of the aforementioned military units and their servicemen in the initial stages of Russian aggression in the Donbas as tactical groups of the Russian Armed Forces, and later, as part of the illegal armed forces of \u201cNovorossia\u201d, disguised as local \u201crebels\u201d.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Russian troops as part of the illegal armed forces <\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nWe recorded groups and servicemen serving in \u201cNovorossia\u2019s\u201d illegal armed forces deployed from the following Russian units:\r\n\r\n- from the Southern Military District: the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/the-snipers-of-the-19th-brigade-in-the-ranks-of-somali-armed-formation\/\">19th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Vladikavkaz, North Ossetia), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/3-trips-from-18th-brigade\/\">18th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Kalynovskaya, Chechnya), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/tracking-down-a-scout-from-the-136th-brigade\/\">136th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Buinaksk, Dagestan), the 7th military base, see<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russian-contract-soldier-from-the-7th-base-fights-as-dpr-militant\/\"> 1<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/jan10-donbas-games\/\">2<\/a> (Gudauta, occupied Abkhazia, Georgia), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russian-contract-servicemen-of-the-205th-smrb-in-ukraine\/\">205th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Budennovsk, Stavropol Krai), \u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/the-russian-8th-motorized-rifle-brigade-as-part-of-the-people-s-militia-of-lnr\/\">8th Separate Mountain Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Borzoi, Chechnya), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/novorossiya-militant-s-contract-was-finalized-in-military-recruiting-office-of-volgograd-russia\/\">291st Artillery Brigade<\/a> (Troitskaya, Ingushetia), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russian-33th-brigade-in-donetsk\/\">33th Separate Nountain Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Maikop, Adygea) the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/jan13-donbas-34th\/\">34th Separate Mountain Motor Rifle Brigade \u00a0<\/a>(Storozhevaya, Karachay-Cherkessia);\r\n\r\n- from the Central Military District: \u00a0the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/the-russian-74th-brigade-s-contract-servicemen-fight-in-donbas-as-hooligans\/\">74th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Yugra, Kemerovo Oblast), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/the-23rd-brigade-s-armed-vehicles-and-personnel-as-part-of-novorossiya-s-armed-formations\/\">23rd Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Samara), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/uses-15th-motorized-rifle-brigade\/\">15th \u201cPeacekeeping\u201d Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Roshchinskyi garrison in Samara Oblast), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/feb11-donbas-antiair\/\">21st Separate Motor Rifle Brigad<\/a>e (Orenburg), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/recon-contract-soldier-from-russia-s-28th-motorized-rifle-brigade-fights-in-pyatnashka-in-the-donbas\/\">28th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade<\/a> (Ekaterinburg\/partially Klintsy, the Western Military District), the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/paratroopers-of-the-31st-brigade-from-ulyanovsk-as-patriot-militants-in-donbas\/\">31st Separate Air Assault Brigade<\/a> of the Airborne Troops (Ulyanovsk).\r\n\r\nAlso, units of the Russian <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/nov29-donbass-247\/\">Airborne Troops<\/a>, Spetsnaz of the <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russian-servicemen-of-the-22nd-spetsnaz-gru-brigade-identified-on-a-combat-mission-in-luhansk\/\">Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/investigation-revealed-soldiers-russian-national-guard\/\">National Guard<\/a> of the Internal Troops and other Russian security and law enforcement<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/mar04-youtube-open-letter\/\"> agencies<\/a> were involved.\r\n\r\nOn September 6-11, International Military-Technical Forum <a href=\"http:\/\/novocherkassk.net\/news\/2016\/09\/43454-segodnya-na-poligone-kadamovskiy-sostoyalos-otkrytie-mezhdunarodnogo-voenno-tehnicheskogo-foruma-armiya-2016\/\">Army 2016<\/a> took place at the field camp Kadamovsky in Rostov Oblast. It demonstrated the full power of the Russian Armed Forces concentrated at the Ukrainian border. Despite very limited information from official sources, we have found some photos taken at this event.
