Most of them were spotted in the critical period of the summer and autumn of 2014, when the Kremlin deployed considerable force to turn the tide in its favor. As soon as the part of Donbas had been occupied, Russian military command began to hastily form so-called Donetsk \/ Lugansk People\u2019s Republic (DPR\/LPR) army corps, manning them with local separatists and Russian &#8220;volunteers&#8221; as a cannon fodder. There were also staff officers and contract soldiers of the Russian Army, who were responsible for the organization and combat training of the Novorossia Army. Some units of <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/nov29-donbass-247\/\">Airborne Forces<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/russian-servicemen-of-the-22nd-spetsnaz-gru-brigade-identified-on-a-combat-mission-in-luhansk\/\">Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU)<\/a> special forces,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/investigation-revealed-soldiers-russian-national-guard\/\">Russian Guard<\/a>\u00a0ad other law enforcement <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/mar04-youtube-open-letter\/\">agencies<\/a>\u00a0have been involved in IAGs too.<\/p>\n<p>Time has come to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/26990-najden-ofitser-vs-rf-poteryavshij-orden-muzhestva\/\">fulfill the promise<\/a> and to make public the evidence of how Russian contract soldiers of 17th MRB from Chechnya (military unit 65384, Shali village, 58th Field Army of Russian Armed Forces, Southern Military District), served in Novorossia IAGs. Two years after the initial phase of the conflict, some soldiers of the 17th MRB continue to fight in Donbas, claiming to be local &#8220;insurgent coal miners&#8221;.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>There is more to Orsk than fridges<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In most cases, the starting points for our OSINT investigations are pictures of Russians from Donbas, which they are so fond of boasting in their profiles. But this case was different, the investigation was triggered by a discussion in the online group of the 17th MRB on VK social network. That is where where Evgeny Lyazin was spotted. It is noteworthy, that Lyazin\u2019s profile yields little information, contains fake birth and residence data (Donetsk), a few photos and a couple of interesting videos (which he apparently forgot to delete). He is careful enough not to have any hint of his active service in the Russian Army on his page. But then he himself confirms this fact in an open discussion thread discovered by us in that group dated <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/5Sg4r\">February 2016<\/a>. Moreover, Lyazin is pretty explicit and gives the potential contract soldier specific advice:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Don\u2019t even think about it &#8211; it is a f#cked-up brigade!!! I butted off 2 contract terms there and terminated the third. If you join, you will remember my words!!!\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/GR-1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Target of this investigation:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/000000.jpg\" width=\"196\" height=\"186\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Evgeny Nikolaevich Lyazin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Date of birth &#8211; November 30, 1984 (although he indicates January 3, 1984 in his profile).\u00a0Originally from Orsk, Orenburg oblast, Russia. Registered at 62, Zaporozhskaya street, apt. 8, Oktyabrsky District, Orsk, as it appears from the <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/cYh0O\">record<\/a>\u00a0on the Russian on-line people search service. The phone number used by him in Donbas (on Kyivstar operator) is: +38 096 948 4815.<\/p>\n<p>In the recent past he was a contract soldier of the Russian 17th MRB located in Chechnya. He supposedly quit in early January 2016. In total, he served two full contract terms in the Russian Army, and terminated the third while on a <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/QsKgn\">&#8220;Ukrainian mission&#8221;<\/a>.\u00a0His data on social networks: <a href=\"https:\/\/vk.com\/id278955630\">VK<\/a> (archived\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/McbET\">profile<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/Q6LD0\">photos<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/D3IPK\">videos<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/xJpiO\">contacts<\/a>); <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/2lE93\">\u041e\u041a<\/a> (access to this page is restricted). From the next of kin, it is necessary to highlight his mother, <strong>Lyudmila Lyazina (Efimova)<\/strong>, born in 1958 (<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/VVrPa\">VK<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/on2cf\">\u041e\u041a<\/a> account archives). However, just like <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/recon-contract-soldier-from-russia-s-28th-motorized-rifle-brigade-fights-in-pyatnashka-in-the-donbas\/\">Khvorostyanov<\/a>, our previous investigation target, an active contract serviceman of 28th MRB, he was classified as an IAG member, i.e. with no association to the Russian military. The most interesting part is his flaming with another 17th MRB serviceman Stas Besedin, which took place in <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/b8e8B\">January \u2013 March 2016<\/a>.\u00a0Lyazin uses some strong language again and lets slip some interesting information about his affiliation to 17th MRB\u2019s reconnaissance, i.e.: he says that he is in Donetsk, gives his cell phone number and boasts that it is no problem for him to travel from Donbas to Khotunok district of Novocherkassk city in Rostov Oblast to &#8220;chill out&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cI have hustled up your woman&#8230; She agreed to come to Khotunok in Novocherkassk, just wanted the way money&#8230;\u00a0My cell number is +380969484815, Kyivstar, I dare you to call me, you cunt!!! I\u2019m in Donetsk, and I hustled up your bitch just for fun))) There are some cool guys in air recon company of recon battalion: Marat Lepshokov, Islam Geezhibaev and Yevloyev Rukha&#8221;.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As we mentioned above, Lyazin\u2019s profile contains\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/D3IPK\">private videos<\/a>\u00a0from Donbas posted in January &#8211; February 2015, where he openly poses on camera (videos are duplicated on our YouTube channel), titled:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Styla village <\/strong>(Starobesheve District, Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine)<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"978\" height=\"550\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ffV4jqqSq1M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dokuchaevsk city<\/strong> (Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"978\" height=\"550\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gcGgN3lzrSM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Untitled video<\/strong> from the same series, again with the shooting, showing off and swearing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"978\" height=\"734\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/evbmNu7LGE8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Lyazin writes lots of comments under the pictures of militants. For example, he comments the pictures of Russian terrorists Alexander <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/v03U6\"><strong>Kulikov<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Andrey<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/4ipum\"><strong>Danilov<\/strong><\/a> killed in Donbas on January 7, 2015:<strong> <em>&#8220;Friends do not die!!! They are just not around anymore!!! &#8220;<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Kulikov\u2019s and Danilov\u2019s obituaries are posted on the page of another Russian militant\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vk.com\/kalandya\"><strong>Yury Kalandya<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(archived\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/L6bXu\">profile<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/9ltg6\">photos<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/ctsjb\">contacts<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/dr-1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Dr2-1024x459.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lyazin is visible not only on social networks. For example, we found a user on Live Journal calling himself\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/vatahis.livejournal.com\/\">vatahis<\/a>\u00a0with an interesting\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/XPPt7\">post<\/a> in the blog called Jingoists\u2019 Stories dated January 2016. It is about <a href=\"http:\/\/uafootball.segodnya.ua\/chua_news\/istochnik-v-metallurge-na-nashey-baze-raskvartirovalis-neskolko-desyatkov-vooruzhennyh-lyudey-542340.html\">capturing<\/a> of Metallurg soccer club in Donetsk by the DPR militants in August 2014. Since then, the base has been used to house Russian mercenaries: <em>&#8220;Judging by the militants&#8217; winter clothes, it is unlikely they left the Metallurg base in August 2014, as they had promised&#8221;<\/em> &#8211; sums up the author, backing up his words with photos of militants, Evgeny Lyazin among them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Metalurg-3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27459\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Metalurg-3.jpg\" alt=\"metalurg-3\" width=\"900\" height=\"502\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"twentytwenty\" class=\"twentytwenty-container\" style=\"display: none; max-width: 100%; width: 500px; height: 489px\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Metalurg-1.jpg\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Metalurg-2.jpg\"\/><\/div>\n<p>The reasons why Lyazin terminated his contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense are no mystery. On November, 30, 2016, InformNapalm published a review of the situation and the mood in the Russian Armed Forces &#8211; see <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/emperors-new-clothes-putin-exposed\/\">Emperor\u2019s new clothes \u2013 or Putin exposed<\/a> The investigation is based on the study of sources mostly in the Southern Military District. According to our data, there has been massive staff attrition in a number of military units, mostly in brigades heavily involved in the &#8220;Ukrainian missions&#8221; (which includes 17th MRB). There are many reasons, but the first and foremost are halving of the salary through inflation, poor housing conditions, coercive assignments to war zones and other issues, typical for the Russian Army.<\/p>\n<p>A few weeks before the Russian Ministry&#8217;s of Defense\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/izvestia.ru\/news\/634572\">official announcement<\/a>\u00a0we learned about the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/emperors-new-clothes-putin-exposed\/\">plans<\/a> reorganize several motorized rifle brigades, stationed in Chechnya, into regiments. Two years after the initial phase of the conflict, some soldiers of the 17th MRB continue to fight in Donbas, claiming to be local \"insurgent coal miners\".<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\r\n\r\n[\/toggle_item]\r\n[\/toggle]\r\n\r\n<strong>There is more to Orsk than fridges<\/strong>\r\n\r\nIn most cases, the starting points for our OSINT investigations are pictures of Russians from Donbas, which they are so fond of boasting in their profiles. But this case was different, the investigation was triggered by a discussion in the online group of the 17th MRB on VK social network. That is where where Evgeny Lyazin was spotted. It is noteworthy, that Lyazin\u2019s profile yields little information, contains fake birth and residence data (Donetsk), a few photos and a couple of interesting videos (which he apparently forgot to delete). He is careful enough not to have any hint of his active service in the Russian Army on his page. But then he himself confirms this fact in an open discussion thread discovered by us in that group dated <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/5Sg4r\">February 2016<\/a>. Moreover, Lyazin is pretty explicit and gives the potential contract soldier specific advice:\r\n\r\n<strong><em>Don\u2019t even think about it - it is a f#cked-up brigade!!! I butted off 2 contract terms there and terminated the third. If you join, you will remember my words!!!\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/GR-1.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\nTarget of this investigation:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/000000.jpg\" width=\"196\" height=\"186\" \/>\r\n\r\n<strong>\u00a0Evgeny Nikolaevich Lyazin<\/strong>\r\n\r\nDate of birth - November 30, 1984 (although he indicates January 3, 1984 in his profile).\u00a0Originally from Orsk, Orenburg oblast, Russia. Registered at 62, Zaporozhskaya street, apt. 8, Oktyabrsky District, Orsk, as it appears from the <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/cYh0O\">record<\/a>\u00a0on the Russian on-line people search service. The phone number used by him in Donbas (on Kyivstar operator) is: +38 096 948 4815.\r\n\r\nIn the recent past he was a contract soldier of the Russian 17th MRB located in Chechnya. He supposedly quit in early January 2016. In total, he served two full contract terms in the Russian Army, and terminated the third while on a <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/QsKgn\">\"Ukrainian mission\"<\/a>.\u00a0His data on social networks: <a href=\"https:\/\/vk.com\/id278955630\">VK<\/a> (archived\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/McbET\">profile<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/Q6LD0\">photos<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/D3IPK\">videos<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/xJpiO\">contacts<\/a>); <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/2lE93\">\u041e\u041a<\/a> (access to this page is restricted). From the next of kin, it is necessary to highlight his mother, <strong>Lyudmila Lyazina (Efimova)<\/strong>, born in 1958 (<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/VVrPa\">VK<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/on2cf\">\u041e\u041a<\/a> account archives). However, just like <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/recon-contract-soldier-from-russia-s-28th-motorized-rifle-brigade-fights-in-pyatnashka-in-the-donbas\/\">Khvorostyanov<\/a>, our previous investigation target, an active contract serviceman of 28th MRB, he was classified as an IAG member, i.e. with no association to the Russian military. Lyazin\u2019s data has been also included on <a href=\"http:\/\/gruz200.net\/?n=38413\">Cargo 200<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/terror.in.ua\/wanted\/lyazin-evgeniy-lyazin-evgenij.11901\/\">Terror<\/a> databases, also with no relation to Russian Army.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/m-1.jpg\" width=\"172\" height=\"296\" \/><img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/m-4-169x300.jpg\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/m-11.jpg\" width=\"166\" height=\"286\" \/>\r\n\r\n<img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/m-7.jpg\" width=\"257\" height=\"147\" \/><img class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/m-8.jpg\" width=\"259\" height=\"148\" \/>\r\n\r\n[\/toggle_item]\r\n[\/toggle]\r\n\r\nLyazin pops up in another thread in the 17th MRB community. The most interesting part is his flaming with another 17th MRB serviceman Stas Besedin, which took place in <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/b8e8B\">January \u2013 March 2016<\/a>.\u00a0Lyazin uses some strong language again and lets slip some interesting information about his affiliation to 17th MRB\u2019s reconnaissance, i.e.: he says that he is in Donetsk, gives his cell phone number and boasts that it is no problem for him to travel from Donbas to Khotunok district of Novocherkassk city in Rostov Oblast to \"chill out\":\r\n\r\n<strong><em>\u201cI have hustled up your woman... She agreed to come to Khotunok in Novocherkassk, just wanted the way money...\u00a0My cell number is +380969484815, Kyivstar, I dare you to call me, you cunt!!! I\u2019m in Donetsk, and I hustled up your bitch just for fun))) There are some cool guys in air recon company of recon battalion: Marat Lepshokov, Islam Geezhibaev and Yevloyev Rukha\".<\/em><\/strong>\r\n\r\nAs we mentioned above, Lyazin\u2019s profile contains\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/D3IPK\">private videos<\/a>\u00a0from Donbas posted in January - February 2015, where he openly poses on camera (videos are duplicated on our YouTube channel), titled:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Styla village <\/strong>(Starobesheve District, Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine)<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nhttps:\/\/youtu.be\/ffV4jqqSq1M\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Dokuchaevsk city<\/strong> (Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine)<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nhttps:\/\/youtu.be\/gcGgN3lzrSM\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Untitled video<\/strong> from the same series, again with the shooting, showing off and swearing.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nhttps:\/\/youtu.be\/evbmNu7LGE8\r\n\r\nLyazin writes lots of comments under the pictures of militants. For example, he comments the pictures of Russian terrorists Alexander <a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/v03U6\"><strong>Kulikov<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Andrey<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/4ipum\"><strong>Danilov<\/strong><\/a> killed in Donbas on January 7, 2015:<strong> <em>\"Friends do not die!!! They are just not around anymore!!! \"<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Kulikov\u2019s and Danilov\u2019s obituaries are posted on the page of another Russian militant\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/vk.com\/kalandya\"><strong>Yury Kalandya<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(archived\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/L6bXu\">profile<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/9ltg6\">photos<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/ctsjb\">contacts<\/a>).\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/dr-1.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\n<img src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Dr2-1024x459.jpg\" \/>\r\n\r\nLyazin is visible not only on social networks. For example, we found a user on Live Journal calling himself\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/vatahis.livejournal.com\/\">vatahis<\/a>\u00a0with an interesting\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/archive.is\/XPPt7\">post<\/a> in the blog called Jingoists\u2019 Stories dated January 2016. It is about <a href=\"http:\/\/uafootball.segodnya.ua\/chua_news\/istochnik-v-metallurge-na-nashey-baze-raskvartirovalis-neskolko-desyatkov-vooruzhennyh-lyudey-542340.html\">capturing<\/a> of Metallurg soccer club in Donetsk by the DPR militants in August 2014. Since then, the base has been used to house Russian mercenaries: <em>\"Judging by the militants' winter clothes, it is unlikely they left the Metallurg base in August 2014, as they had promised\"<\/em> - sums up the author, backing up his words with photos of militants, Evgeny Lyazin among them.\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Metalurg-3.jpg\"><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-27459\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Metalurg-3.jpg\" alt=\"metalurg-3\" width=\"900\" height=\"502\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n[twentytwenty]\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Metalurg-1.jpg\"><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-27460 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Metalurg-1.jpg\" alt=\"metalurg-1\" width=\"500\" height=\"489\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Metalurg-2.jpg\"><img class=\"alignnone wp-image-27461\" src=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/Metalurg-2.jpg\" alt=\"metalurg-2\" width=\"500\" height=\"438\" \/><\/a>\r\n\r\n[\/twentytwenty]\r\n\r\nThe reasons why Lyazin terminated his contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense are no mystery. On November, 30, 2016, InformNapalm published a review of the situation and the mood in the Russian Armed Forces - see <a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/emperors-new-clothes-putin-exposed\/\">Emperor\u2019s new clothes \u2013 or Putin exposed<\/a> The investigation is based on the study of sources mostly in the Southern Military District. According to our data, there has been massive staff attrition in a number of military units, mostly in brigades heavily involved in the \"Ukrainian missions\" (which includes 17th MRB). There are many reasons, but the first and foremost are halving of the salary through inflation, poor housing conditions, coercive assignments to war zones and other issues, typical for the Russian Army.\r\n\r\nA few weeks before the Russian Ministry's of Defense\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/izvestia.ru\/news\/634572\">official announcement<\/a>\u00a0we learned about the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/informnapalm.org\/en\/emperors-new-clothes-putin-exposed\/\">plans<\/a> reorganize several motorized rifle brigades, stationed in Chechnya, into regiments.
