Today anti-terrorist operation has finally moved to the active phase of attack in all directions. According to various sources today terrorists have lost from 700 to 1000 people. The situation is changing very rapidly and our forces activelysuppress militants, this is why we do not see any reason to disclose attack directions because terrorists are now defensive. A positive tendency is how the ATO forces gain control over the parts of the Ukrainian border. Nevertheless the territory bordering with the Rostov region of the Russian Federation still remains the high risk area. Today, according to various sources, the emphasis is on the fact that Russia is supplying arms and military equipment to terrorists by the railroad from the Rostov region towards Ilovaysk-Kuteynikovo. It is difficult to comment on this information now as it was neither confirmed nor denied by Ukrainian uniformed services and as a consequence, it requires more attention from the public. All Ho Chi Minh trails through which terrorists get help from Russia must be closed.
It should also be noted that in conditions of suppression of militants in all directions, the “press service” of stuffing misinformation to “raise morale” of terrorists announced in their media and Zello channels that militants had shot down Ukrainian Su-25. Ukrainian security officials denied that. It should be noted that terrorists repeatedly tried throughout the day to shut Ukrainian aircrafts down. Given that they have weapons for that (local residents from various parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions report that terrorists have at their disposal antiaircraft mounts and deploy a kind of air defense objects in waste banks or camouflage them in the field of civil infrastructure – near hospitals, ambulance stations, schools etc), we take every report seriously and try to confirm every report about attempts to destroy our aircrafts.
International Developments
It was quite predictable to hear dissatisfaction from Russia regarding resumption of ATO in the east of Ukraine. Russian politicians discussed the intensification of ATO on July 1 at a meeting of the Russian Security Council. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation hastened to declare that Petr Poroshenko allegedly dashed all “diplomatic efforts” aimed at resolving the situation “peacefully”.
We, however, would like to recall that for 10 days of ceasefire “truce” was only adhered by Ukrainian military but not by pro-Russian militants. Because of that in each of those 10 “peaceful” days Ukrainian servicemen perished.
Seeing in this volitional decision of the President of Ukraine American hand, Russia accuses Poroshenko of executing commands from Washington. And even the deaths of journalists who have received permission to film from the “DPR authorities” and were NOT accredited in Ukraine are supposed to be our fault as well. Although we must admit that there was nothing new in such rhetoric from the Russian side.
Major developments in the external circuit.
Quite predictably hear from Russian dissatisfaction with the resumption # ATO in Eastern Ukraine.
July 1 at a meeting of the Russian Security Council, Russian politicians discussed the intensification of ATO in Ukraine. Foreign Minister hastened to declare alleged Poroshenko dashed all “diplomatic efforts” aimed at resolving the situation “peacefully”.
For its part, recall that 10 days ceasefire is “truce” observed only Ukrainian security forces, but not pro-Russian militants. And because of this, each of the 10 “peaceful” days died Ukrainian military.
Seeing in the volitional decision of the President of the hand of America, Russia accuses Poroshenko executing commands from Washington. And even the deaths of journalists who have received permission to film from the “power of DNR” and NOT accredited in Ukraine, also confer on us. Although such rhetoric Russian side is nothing new.
# OSCE condemned rather reserved activity # Russian meddling in the internal affairs of Ukraine and the Council of Europe decided not to re-apply to Russia new sanctions. Perhaps this is to some extent due to the changes in the management of EU # . Since 01 July the leader of one faction of the EP Social Democrat Martin Schulz was elected president of the European Parliament and the European Commission will select a new president only on July 16. Most likely, they will be ex-Prime Minister of Luxembourg Jean-Claude Juncker.
Promise that these changes in the EU for Ukraine?
Recall that Martin Schulz very reserved attitude to the prospect of Ukraine’s European integration. He said the possibility of signing the association only after the political crisis and did not believe in Ukraine’s membership in the EU in the “foreseeable future.” Nevertheless, Poroshenko expects it to support in building relationships with the EU, whether it would be a real show soon.
