On September 13, as a result of a special operation, the counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained a specially dangerous subversive group. Following the orders of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the General Staff of the Russian Federation, the detainees planned terrorist acts and sabotage at strategic objects of the Mykolaiv region.
The group of saboteurs consisted of three citizens of Ukraine. The leader of the team is a former paratrooper who took sabotage training in the territory of the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
The saboteurs were arrested when they carried out reconnaissance near the railway bridge, which is of strategic importance. 3 silent pistols, more than 60 rounds of ammunition for them, 17 MD-5 detonators, 2 antipersonnel mines, 1 magnetic mine, a large number of plastic explosives were seized from the detainees.
It was established that the saboteurs received weapons and explosives from members of Russian security services and smuggled them into Ukraine.
