The Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations nobody can use to restrict the rights and freedoms of citizens or to overthrow the constitutional order, to remove of power or obstruct their activity”. In your letter you demand:”… to surrender the weapons to the storage under the custody of the servicemen of the Russian Black Sea Fleet…”. Nevertheless, there are no representatives of the Russian Black Sea Fleet around our military unit. There are only representatives of the armed group without insignia, who don’t provide the documents of their affiliation and introduce themselves as a “self-defense movement in Crimea”. In view of the aforementioned, there is no legal basis for the transfer of arms of the military unit A4519. On this issue we suggest you to negotiate with authorized representatives of the General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense. In case you decide to take away our weapons by force, we strongly recommend taking effective measures to evacuate citizens of Evpatoria and nearby villages due to the danger of explosion probability of a large amount of explosives, which are stored in the warehouses of the military unit.
