Servicemen taking part in the anti-terrorist operation and border guards will close the border with the Russian Federation within a few days. This was declared by the acting Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Koval during broadcast on Ukraine TV channel.

“The President of Ukraine set defined tasks regarding that question and we are implementing them in full. Border guards and we will recommence [the service on] the objects of the State border in the area we already control in the near future. Literally in a few days we will close the State border (with Russia – Ed.) with our Armed Forces and create a buffer zone”, said Koval.
