From the middle of May to early of June 2014 the RUSSIAN FEDERATION undertook two large command-staff exercises testing the realization of a local nuclear attack. According to military experts there were never such dense and extensive testing scenarios of nuclear war even in the SOVIET UNION.
On 8th May, following prepared training plans a “conventional nuclear war” was simulated. The 12-th General Directorate of the Ministry of Defence, which is the most secret department, was involved in the exercises. This directorate is specifically responsible for storage, delivery and installation of strategic and tactical nuclear weapons on missile carriers.
From 27th of May to 5th of June the second command-staff exercises took place in the Western military district in Russia on the border with Ukraine. The nuclear-capable ISKANDER-M missile launchers were used during these exercises.
Information about the ISKANDER being at the disposal of the terrorists on the territory of Ukraine periodically pops up in the press, but at the moment it is just unconfirmed rumours. The radius of action of this system is up to 500 km, so it is not necessarily even to bring them on the territory of Ukraine. It is enough to allocate the missile launchers on the border.
It is possible to use such weapons for local nuclear attack of low power (up to 10 kt), or a burst of low-yield nukes on high, not reaching the Earth’s surface. That can lead to the failure of all computer and radio equipment without physical destruction due to exposure to powerful electromagnetic pulse (EMP).
On 20th June Sergei Shoigu the Russian Defence Minister was reported to have personally checked on the forming of the infrastructure for a missile brigade of the Western military region in the Luga Garrison near St. Petersburg. This brigade is also armed with the latest technology ISKANDER-M.
At the same time this week the Russian media began to escalate that the United States reportedly plans to apply a preventive nuclear strike on RUSSIA through a new “stealth” bomber version of the B-2. If you recall what Putin’s ‘court jester’ Dimitriy Kiselev said about “radioactive ashes” earlier, you can consider this as the ideological and psychological processing of the people of the Russian Federation for the event of a nuclear war.
There are different ways to evaluate this information. You cannot believe that somebody has enough stupid to unleash the 3rd World War in Ukraine, but you should take account of every possible step of the aggressive Eastern neighbours and not limit your thinking to the “I believe”, and “I do not believe”. Until recently the occupation of Crimea by Russia also seemed something fantastic and improbable, but nonetheless the RUSSIAN invasion in Crimea happened.
