On May 9, the Ukrainian Aerial Reconnaissance dropped several thousand postcards and leaflets over occupied Horlivka. Some leaflets not only reminded residents of the Donbas that Ukraine had not forgotten them and continues to fight for their liberation from Russian occupation, but also broke through the information blockade. Leaflets with accessible infographics informed people that Russian occupiers plan to close Donbas coal mines and eliminate jobs. The detailed information was QR-encoded on the back side of the postcards with a link to the detailed investigation conducted by volunteers and hacktivists in late 2016: Assessment of the state of the coal industry in the occupied Donbas.
