Ukrainian Military Medical Institutions in Crimea Are Captured

    on 03/18/2014 | | Main News | News

Russian troopsThe Medical Military Clinical Center of the Crimean region and 386th military hospital in Simferopol were captured by the Crimea “self-defense” lead by Vladimir Mertsalov. These criminal actions were carried out according to the personal orders of the Black Sea Fleet commander Admiral Vitko. Military doctors were forcefully removed of taking care of their patients because they refused to take the oath of allegiance to Russia. There are circa 270 people on the inpatient treatment in these medical centers; more than 200 of them are the officers and contract servicemen of the armed Forces of Ukraine; nearly 70 people are military retirees. More than that, there are 6 people in the critical condition in the hospital intensive care who suffer from meningitis and pneumonia. These are two soldiers, one woman and four military retirees. Many patients (especially those who are in the difficult financial situation) enjoyed the benefits of the free treatment in military hospitals; now it is hard to tell whether they are able to continue their treatment.
