In November the following news appeared in the Internet: “Donetsk airport. A quad bike of militants from the Donetsk Republic (DNR) conducted machine gun fire on a Terminal which is under control of the Ukrainian paratroopers”.
It was the unusual transport vehicle which attracted my attention. And below is what the whole story was about:
On Saturday, September, 20, on the grounds of the Mechanic Engineering Research Institute (Moscow region) a new Bryansk combat quad bike was tested, a web-site “Bryansk of Today” reported with reference to the Vice-Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin.
As Rogozin posted on Twitter, it was highly regarded by representatives of the Army Special Forces, which were participating in the tests.
The bike was later presented to the Vice-Prime Minister at the Russian Federation Military-Industrial Commission Board meeting, which took place on the location of the 51th Regiment of the Tula Landing Division.
This special quad bike is equipped with a machine gun, and was ordered by the Russian Airborne Forces and is produced by Zhukovskiy Motorcycle Manufacturer in the Bryansk area.
I specially pointed out the place of action and the main customer of these extravagant vehicles. The fact that the Russian Federation Vice-Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin (who combines his government functions with representing the far-right pro-Nazi minority in Government) was saddling the quad bike adds spice to the situation. It means everything was official. He even thought of the name to this “quad horse” – “Tulchanka”. With reference to this vehicle, the commander of the 51th Regiment (Tula) of the 106th (Ryazan) Airborne Division was mentioned, who reported the introduction of these vehicles into the regiment’s inventory.
With this background let us compare the official army vehicle with the DNR vehicle. And here we are:
Let’s have a look at Rogozin, then at the Donetsk vehicle, and what we see is as follows: the same shelf under a machine gun, the same system of fastening of machine gun to this shelf, the same undercarriage. Only the ammunition feeding system is a bit different. The question is did DNR suddenly invent this weaponized quad bike. Of course, they did not! And a suspicion grows that this quad bike did not come to Donetsk alone but together `vacationing soldiers’ from the 51st Regiment (Tula). And see how amazingly quick this export was! There were two months between the mentioned events. It means that the Russian military supply line through the border has been working till now notwithstanding OSCE observers statements.
You might ask how is it possible to make so far-reaching conclusions based on a single event. But who said, that it was single? There are other proofs. And a Tula parade in March is one of them.
It looked like the following:
In March 2014 the columns of BMD- 2 crept out into the streets of the Russian cities. The vehicles were brand new, just from the manufacturing plant, which was testified by a new form of Infrared spotlights to the left side of the turret. What is so unusual about it, one might ask. Spring and fall maneuvers are not new. But the public got anxious: “You are not going in Ukraine, are you?” Guess, what the commanders said? – Absolutely right! “Maneuvers”. But they forgot to tell, in what part of earth the maneuvers were going on. But spare yourself the trouble of explaining that. We can tell you that – Donetsk, Ukraine, November 29, 2014.
Now we know the invader – it is the Tula and Ryazan paratrooper. And this kind is dangerous enough so it is necessary to undertake urgent measures on their neutralization. And do not forget to call OSCE, their observers tend to lose their eyesight in the ATO zone.
