Russian Paratroopers Again in Ukraine

on 01/02/2015 | | Donbas | News | Russian Military Assessment Print This Post Print This Post

Sources, close to the leadership of the DPR (Donetsk People’s Republic), have informed us that the Ryazan paratroopers are again in Ukraine.  Russian servicemen from the 137th Airborne Regiment of the 106th Airborne Division are now in a combat zone.  Details of the location and the range of their combat tasks are not currently determined and require further elaboration. We want to remind you that on December 19, Irakli Komahidze, the OSINT Expert of the InformNapalm team, identified the servicemen  of this unit in the Rostov Region of Russia.

As previously reported by Irakli, most of the unit personnel got combat experience during their first assignment to Ukraine last Summer. Also, there are a lot of newcomers there, who should consider whether they would be willing to share the fate of their predecessors left to rot on battlefields in the Ukrainian steppes. Or do the newly minted contract servicemen, influenced by Kremlin propaganda, sincerely believe in a “mass death” during “military exercises in the Rostov region”?…
