We continue to disclose and identify the Russian army units moved to the Ukrainian border during the February troops rotation.
A sub-unit of the 35th separate motorized rifle brigade (military unit No. 41659, Central Military District, Aleysk, Altai Krai, Russia) was noticed in Neklinovsky raion of the Rostov Oblast, Russia. The estimated size of this unit equals to a battalion tactic group which includes a T-72 tank unit and ‘Msta’ self-propelled mortar artillery.
This is not the first ‘Ukrainian assignment’ of the 35th brigade. The full battalion group of this brigade was present in this area last fall – later this unit (including other units of the Central Military District) was replaced with the units of the Eastern Military District during the October troops rotation.
