
The ATO forces neutralized a group of Russian saboteurs that illegally crossed the border of Ukraine.
A joint operational group of the Armed Forces and Security Service of Ukraine detained ten servicemen of the 331st Guards Airborne Regiment of the 98th Guards Airborne Division of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (military unit 71211).
The Russian soldiers were detained with personal documents and weapons. They testified that on August 23 a battalion of paratroopers was relocated by rail to the Rostov Region (Russia) and at around 3:00am on August 24 the unit was alerted and ordered to depart as part of a convoy consisted of several dozen airborne infantry fighting vehicles.
Only officers were informed that the Russian military equipment would invade the territory of Ukraine.
The Security Service of Ukraine initiated criminal proceedings for the illegal crossing of the border by armed citizens of the Russian Federation.
