    Briefing of the Joint Forces Operation Press Center at 18:00, 29 August 2019

    Over August 29, the armed units from Russia and the Russian mercenaries have violated the ceasefire regime 9 times. The adversary fired at the Joint Forces units’ positions with weapons carried by the armored vehicles of the infantry, various grenade launcher systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms.

    In the area of responsibility of the operative-tactic force “EAST,” the adversary fired at the Joint Forces positions 5 times:

    Near MARIINKA village from the direction of OLEKSANDRIVKA village – with heavy machine guns and small arms;

    Twice near VODIANE village from the direction of UZHIVKA village – with various grenade launcher systems;

    Near NOVOHNATIVKA village from the direction of STYLA village – with a stationary anti-tank grenade launcher;

    Near HNUTOVE village from the direction of ZAYICHENKOVE village – with a stationary anti-tank grenade launcher and small arms.

    In the area of responsibility of the operative-tactic force “NORTH,” the adversary fired at the Joint Forces positions 4 times:

    Twice near PIVDENNE village from the direction of the GAGARIN mine – with various grenade launcher systems and small arms;

    In the vicinity of ZAITSEVE – using the weapons carried by armored vehicles of the infantry and small arms;

    Near LUHANSKE from the direction of NYZHNYE LOZOVE – with heavy machine guns.

    On August 28, the armed units from Russia and the Russian mercenaries have violated the ceasefire regime 14 times.
    The adversary fired at the Joint Forces’ positions using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements, namely, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars. They also fired with weapons carried by armored vehicles of the infantry, various grenade launcher systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms.

    During a shelling, the adversary used against our troops a drone with a suspended grenade launcher VOG-17, ready to fire when dropped.

    During another shelling, the enemy fired at a civilian infrastructure in the vicinity of a point of controlled entry “Mayorske,” threatening the lives and health of the civilian population and the personnel.

    The facts of enemy fire were documented near LEBEDYNSKE, PAVLOPIL, VODIANE, SHYROKYNE, NOVOLUHANSKE, ZAITSEVE, NOVOTOSHKIVSKE, PIVDENNE, and MAYORSK villages.

    Over the last 24 hours, there were no casualties on our side.
    Yesterday, the representatives of the National Police and the National Guard of Ukraine working as parts of the Joint Forces have uncovered 10 thefts, 2 cases of fraud, and 7 cases of illegal narcotics possession.

    Twenty-two thousand and 979 persons and 2,564 vehicles entetered the territory controlled by the Joint Forces through points of the controlled entry. Twenty-four thousand and 562 persons and 2,747 vehicles exited through the same points. Forty-eight persons were denied the right to cross the demarcation line.

    The military and civilian administrative and judicial organs worked according to their routine schedules.

    The Joint Forces units are adhering to the ceasefire regime and are ready to meet any treacherous and provocative action of the adversary adequately.
