Since the beginning of August 4, 2019, the Joint Forces’ units are strictly adhering to the ceasefire regime. On the contrary, the enemy has violated the ban on the use of all weapons 4 times.

The armed units from the Russian Federation and Russia’s mercenaries fired at our units’ positions using weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, namely, 82-mm mortars. The adversary also fired at our defenders with small arms.
In the area of responsibility of the operative-tactic force “EAST,” the adversary fired at the Joint Forces’ positions 4 times:

Near VERKHNYOTORETSKE village from the direction of PANTELEIMONIVKA village – with an 82-mm mortar;
Near PISKY village from the direction of LOZOVE village, twice – with small arms;

Near SHYROKYNE village, from the direction of SAKHANKA village – with small arms.

There were no casualties on the Ukrainian side.

On August 3, 2019 the armed units from the Russian Federation and Russia’s mercenaries have violated the ban on the use of all weapons 8 times. The adversary fired at our defenders with the various grenade launcher systems, and with small arms.

The facts of disturbing fire were documented near the villages of MARYINKA, PAVLOPIL, KRYMSKE, MAYORSK, PIVDENNE, NOVOLUHANSKE, TRAVNEVE, and NOVOHORODSKE.

As a result of the enemy fire, one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded.

On August 3, 2019, the representatives of the National Police and the National Guard of Ukraine acting as parts of the Joint Forces have uncovered 1 case of aggravated assault and battery, 1 robbery, 7 thefts, 1 case of fraud, 1 case of hooliganism, and 10 cases of illegal narcotics possession. Five persons were arrested on suspicion of participating in the activities of the armed units of the Russian Federation and the Russian mercenaries and transferred to the judicial organs. Thirty-three misdemeanors were documented.

Yesterday, more than 18,000 persons and 2,300 vehicles entered the Joint Forces’ jurisdiction through points of the controlled entry. Nineteen thousand and 600 persons and 2,400 vehicles exited through the same points. Thirty-eight persons were denied the right to cross the demarcation line.

The military and civilian administrative and judicial organs worked according to their routine schedules. The social, political, and humanitarian situation remains under the control of the Joint Forces. The Joint Forces’ units are ready to fulfill their tasks!
