Units of the Russian Federation Armed Forces fired on the position of our troops using weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, namely 82-caliber mortars. They also used grenade launchers of the miscellaneous systems, weapons carried by armored vehicles of the infantry, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-tactical group “EAST,” the adversary opened fire on the Joint Forces’ positions three times:

Near the village of VODIANE, from the direction of UZHIVKA – using automated grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms;

Near OPYTNE, from the direction of SPARTAK – using small arms;

In the vicinity of MARYINKA, from the direction of OLEKSANDRIVKA – using an 82-mm mortar.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-tactical group “NORTH,” the adversary opened fire on the Joint Forces’ positions seven times:

Three times near ZAITSEVE, from the direction of HOLMIVSKE – using small arms;

Twice near NOVOLUHANSKE, from the direction of HOLMINSKE and DOLOMITNE – using 82-mm caliber mortars, weapons carried by the armored vehicles of the infantry, and an anti-aircraft gun;

In the region of the village of PIVDENNE, from the direction of the GAGARIN mine – using 82-mm caliber mortars, grenade launchers of the miscellaneous systems, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms.

As a result of the enemy fire, two Ukrainian military service persons were wounded. Our troops answered adequately to every instance of fire opened on them by the Russian Federation troops. The adversary’s casualties are being investigated.

On July 2, the armed units of the Russian Federation have violated the ceasefire regime 13 times. Eight times, they used weapons prohibited by Minsk Agreements, namely, 82-mm caliber mortars. The adversary also opened fire on our defenders using grenade launchers of the miscellaneous systems, and large-caliber machine guns.

The facts of disturbing adversary’s fire were documented near the towns and villages of LEBEDYNSKE, MARYINKA, SHYROKYNE, KRASNOHORIVKA, NOVHORODSKE, NOVOLUHANSKE, and BOLOTNE.

On July 2, the representatives of the National Police and of the National Guard of Ukraine who acted as part of the Joint Forces have uncovered 6 cases of theft, 2 cases of illegal firearms trade, and 8 cases of illegal narcotics possession. Eight persons were arrested on suspicion in participating in the activities of the units of the Russian Federation Armed Forces. Twenty-two misdemeanors were documented.

Yesterday, more than 21,300 persons and 2,400 vehicles entered the jurisdiction of the Joint Forces through the controlled points of entry. Twenty thousand seven hundred persons and 2,400 vehicles exited through the same points. Thirty-three persons were denied the right to cross the demarcation line.

The military and civilian administrative and judicial organs in the area of the Joint Forces operation worked according to their routine schedules. The social, political, and humanitarian situation remains under the control of the Joint Forces.
