ONE UKRAINIAN OFFICER – MILITARY UNIT COMMANDER FROM SEVASTOPOL – STILL HELD CAPTIVE

    on 03/28/2014 | | Crimea | HotNews | News

The head of the Crimean media center of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine Vladislav Seleznev told the reporters that the fate of the military unit A4398 (Sevastopol) commander Vyacheslav Dem’yanenko is still unknown. He was detained by Russian soldiers on March 23 and to date still there is no communication with him. Recall that he is the only commander who is still held captive. All other captives have already been released to the mainland. V. Seleznev commented to “Ukrainskaya Pravda” (“Ukrainian Truth”) that he had known Captain 2nd Class Dem’yanenko personally and considered him a patriot of Ukraine. “Dem’yanenko is of that kind of people that I can be sure that he is a real patriot of Ukraine, specialist and indomitable person. I think that one of the reasons why he is still held captive is his fundamental position”, said the spokesman.
