Translation of Public Call For Volunteers Issued on Saturday 13th September 2014

Fortify and strengthen the border, protect your place!!!

Today, 13.09.2014, was the second day of fortifying the border at the check point of Pletenyevka (Volchansky region).

Thanks to everyone who responded and participated in this job. Our border guards are very grateful; they did not expect that we would finish up all what’s been started. The checkpoint has Ukrainian spirit all over it (flags and banners “Kharkiv is Ukraine”), two dug-out shelters have been built, and the third one just needs a roof in order to complete it.

Some more shovel work will be required to add 20 more meters of trenches. The other task is the fencing (wire) mesh for protection of windows against grenades, and installation of concrete blocks (30 pieces) which have not yet been bought). However the major part of the work has been completed. We plan to finish with work at this checkpoint next week and will then start the next checkpoint.

The priority issue is VOLUNTEERS.

However, for those who wish to contribute financial aid to strengthen or borders please contribute to: Privatbank, card holder: Ilyunina Inessa, card number: 4149 4377 2727 1692

Our needs include:

  • excavators;
  • bulldozers;
  • fuel for vehicles;
  • blockhouse (crib);
  • concrete blocks;
  • building sacks;
  • canvas;
  • VOLUNTEERS.
