While monitoring the accounts of the Russian military in social networks, the InformNapalm  international intelligence community gathered evidence that a significant number of the conscripts of the 234th Airborne Assault Regiment (76th Airborne Assault Division, Western Military District, military unit 74268, Pskov, Russia) participated in the special operation to seize the Crimea. The 76th Division and separately its 104th Airborne Assault Regiment are marked in the list of Russian military units that participated in the seizure of the Crimea compiled by the military prosecutor of Ukraine. This suggests that the Ukrainian government so far has not been aware of the participation of the conscripts of the 234th Regiment in the occupation of the Crimea.

This publication shows the data of 10 servicemen awarded with the departmental award of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation – the medal “For the return of the Crimea.” The certificates for the award were signed by the Guards Colonel Oleg Yuryevich Gritsaev, who commanded the 234th Guards Airborne Assault Regiment from January 2014 to October 2015.
