Our volunteers when wiretapping Zello channels in which terrorists, their accomplices and the local population of the south-east of Ukraine exchange informatrion, among the vast array of garbage information, were able to pick out messages confirming the facts of split in the ranks of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR) terrorists.
For example, a part of the local population which for ideological and financial reasons joined the ranks of so-called “militia” against “Kyiv junta” expresses the extreme displeasure relating to the facts of looting and violence against the locals by touring Russians of Chechen nationality (dubbed as “kadyrboys” – “Kadyrov’s boys” – Ed.).
It is known that in Kramatorsk where the terrorists are actively preparing to create a springboard for their actions, conflict between the newcomers and local militants is brewing. According to the local residents, an official representative of the militants nicknamed “Babay” (he incidentally lives in Kramatorsk) collided with Kadyrboys. They publicly humiliated “Babay” because of his colorful glamour beard and made hints in sexual context.
“The difference in wages” also contributed to the contradictions between the locals and visting fighters. If some of the locals, yielding Russian propaganda about “‘banderivtsy’ who come to burn people” went to the checkpoints with firm belief that they were doing “the right thing”, left their families with little or no money (except for not numerous help from sympathizers), demonstrative actions of the leaders when it comes to funding, arming, supplying visiting Russian fighters are as salt would be to sore eyes and nagging hungry stomach get the job done.
The visitors do not try to hide that they are the elite of Russia and the locals are poverty and rabble who sent as cannon fodder to the hottest places and checkpoints. In particular, they do lateral troop movements: people from Donetsk are moved to Luhansk checkpoints and vice versa. However, assualts of military units and turnpikes are performed mostly by specially trained and paid fighters, not by the locals.
Interestingly, mania of the LPR leaders with which they began to look for the “traitors” in their ranks did not appear out of nowhere. The facts of siding of the local fighters with the forces performing the anti-terrorist operation became more and more frequent. These facts have not yet gained public attention because of “verification” of the newcoming fighters against terrorism from the former LPR and DPR rebels but it is known that some of the newly formed groups carried out successful operations against their former associates. Such formations can be seen as partisans.
Today, the chief executive of the DPR terrorists Igor Girkin notified his “electorate” that most of the staff of “First Aid” in Slovyansk “shamefully fled” to Donetsk. Many doctors have not come to their workplaces in the city hospitals. “We urgently need surgeons, resuscitators, traumatologists, drivers, as well as 1-2 reanimobiles and 3-4 ambulance cars”, Girkin stressed.
This suggests that not only fighters but people who help them indirectly and not mixed up in bloody crimes hastily leave the ranks of LPR and DPR.
Growing conflict of interests of the local criminal groups (which in the struggle for spheres of influence destroy coming from Russia terrorists) also affects the situation. Parts of the local population which are not associated with criminals but used to support terrorists now start to support pro-Ukrainian forces and side with ATO forces. Proclamation of course to engage in dialogue with the local population, as well as announced partial amnesty for militants from the locals were the catalysts in this process.
Thus the complete defeat of the terrorist is only a matter of time and everyone of the locals can speed it up…
