Russian battalion in Chongar (Ethnic composition of the Russian Armed Forces)

    on 05/13/2014 | | Crimea | Main News | News

There is a Russian battalion situated opposite the Ukrainian checkpoint in Chongar. This mixed battalion consists of the Chechens and Russians. Our servicemen often see how the Chechens press on their Russian colleagues and force them to perform the dirtiest work. They often observe fights on a national basis (or rather these are not fights, these are the Chechens beating up the Russians).

Earlier we noted that the ethnic composition of the servicemen in the Southern Military District in Russia is very diverse; hazing and fraternity are extremely strong in the Russian army. Very often it is the Russian soldiers who are taken to suicide by their colleagues from other ethnic groups (Tuva, Chechens, Dagestany, Ingush, Ossetians) because they (Russians) are more emotionally unstable and have less national unity.
