I propose to examine closely the current situation in Avdiivka. There is a summer house community on the outskirts of Donetsk along the road towards Yasynuvata and Avdiivka. This morning for unknown reasons its entrance was blocked and the owners were not allowed to enter. When the locals asked about the reasons, the terrorists answered that no one is supposed to be there until Monday. Later in the conversation the possibility of an attack on Avdiivka and its encirclement was mentioned. A lot of weaponry arrived yesterday to Donetsk from second echelon. We can say that if there is no militant weaponry at the training school in the Bosse area, it is deployed in this summer community now. Which means we are getting a good understanding of one of the directions of attack on Avdiivka.
Let’s move on. According to open sources, a fully staffed brigade of militants arrived in Petrivskyi rayon. Whether this is the Oplot group or the Vostok group, does not matter here. However, if we pay close attention to the map, we can see that Petrivskyi rayon is a good access point to Maryinka and Krasnohorivka and also to Pisky via Staromykhalivka (through the fields). Though I could be wrong here. Pisky access is needed to cut Avdiivka off the supply route from Karlivka. The terrorists had already tried to cut off the supply over the railway yesterday. So, slowly the second direction for the militants’ strike is taking shape.
As for the third direction, I don’t have any information regarding the Mykhalivka settlement, but access to Avdiivka from the north is available either through Verkhniotoretske (which is why I need some information about Mykhalivka), or after capturing of Dzerzhynsk and further movement southwards.
