Since July 10 over 200 parents have applied to the “Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers of Russia” and All-Russian social movement “For Human rights”.
Worried parents think that their children are forced to serve at ‘flash points’ in the South-Eastern Ukraine. The parents have sent an official inquiry in the name of the Russian minister of defense Sergey Shoigu. According to the radio station ‘Echo of Moscow’ they have not got any response so far.
Here are some of the letters received by the ministry and the all-Russian social movement ‘For human rights’:
«To Ponomarev L. А.,
the Head of the social movement
‘For Human rights’
From a serviceman’s father
Titov Sergei Viktorovich
Application
Our son and brother Titov Nikita Sergeyevich is a serviceman of the 106th division of the 51st regiment from Tula. He was called up for military service on November 25, 2013 from Moscow. As we found out, he arrived in the territory of Ukraine in the 51st regiment formation on August 24, then they moved towards Donetsk [Ukraine] for approximately 70 km to take part in military operations near the village of Yekaterinovka. Our kids are the CONSCRIPT SOLDIERS! They have been repeatedly forced to sign reports for voluntary crossing the border without any dates specified and other documents. On September 4, 2014, they got in touch and let us know that they were in the territory of Russia, specifically in Matveyev Kurgan. Besides that they told us about being deployed in the territory of Ukraine. They had one contused soldier who is currently staying in a hospital nearby Krasnogorsk. We learned that some of them got killed. We delegated our son to defend our Fatherland.
HOWEVER THERE IS NO OFFICIALLY DECLARED WAR BETWEEN RUSSIA AND UKRAINE. GET OUR SONS BACK!
We do not want our son to be considered an invader. But he had to shoot other people and saw dead soldiers, thus suffered moral and psychological trauma.
We are asking for your assistance in fast returning of our son and his comrade-in-arms (who were forced to go to war) to the military unit No. 33842 in Tula.
Military unit authorities do not provide any information about their location and terms of returning to the unit. The official version – training.
TAKE ACTIONS.

To the public organization
‘For Human Rights’
From the mother of a conscript
Shelukhin Aleksei Mikhailovich
Kamaletdinova Adelya Abdulbarovna
Application
My son, Aleksei Shelukhin, born in 1995, was enrolled on November 25, 2013 and has been serving in the military unit No. 33842 in Tula (the 106th division of the 51st regiment, the 5th reconnaissance company). From August 19 till September 4, 2014 the contact with them (him and his comrades-in-arms) was lost. On September 4, 2014 my son called me on the cell phone and, in the course of the conversation, it turned out they had been engaged in combat operations in the territory of Ukraine all that time (one of the listed villages was Ekaterinovka in Lugansk Oblast, but there were other settlements mentioned too). One of the soldiers, Aleksei Korneev, is currently in a hospital near Krasnogorsk, Moscow Oblast. Before that, he spent several days in a hospital in Rostov-on-Don.
According to our children, they can be sent to Ukraine once again. They are forced to write a request on crossing the border WITHOUT A DATE!
As a mother, I am totally against sending my son (apparently not for the first time) to take part in combat operations in the territory of any other state.
They are conscripts!»

Author’s category: ‘family members of soldiers and sergeants (conscripts)’
Place of work (service, code name of the military unit): ‘military unit No. 33842 Tula, the 106th airborne division, the 51th regiment, the 5th company’»
The text of the appeal: “Dear Sergey Kuzhegetovich [Shoigu]! Our children, the conscripts of the military unit No. 33842 Tula, 106 Airborne Division, 51 Regiment, 5 company (reconnaissance), were sent to the Rostov Oblast and from August, 19 to September, 4, 2014, the contact with them was lost. On September 4, 2014 our sons called us and said they had taken part in the combat operations in the territory of Ukraine.
The most serious battle they had at Ekaterinovka, but other settlements were also mentioned.
We know for sure, that one of the soldiers from their company Aleksei Korneev is currently in the hospital in Krasnogorsk with a contusion.
The same as before, they were once again forced to write request on the voluntary crossing of the border with Ukraine, without date specified. They have fought already, they had to shoot people and step over the dead bodies. We are unable to reach the unit’s command, we are told that ‘they are on field training’. Currently (September 5, 2014) they are to be send in the territory of Ukraine again. THEY ARE CONSCRIPTS! It is said, that we have enough contractors and volunteers in order not to send our children – conscripts! HELP!!! STOP SENDING OUR CHILDREN AT WAR!!! RETURN OUR CHILDREN! Mother of soldier Nikolai Titov / Natalia Nikolaevna Titova. Mother of soldier Aleksei Shelukhina / Kamaletdinova Adelya Abdulbarovna»
Please note that the ‘Peace March’ is to take place in Moscow, on September, 21.
