Ukrainian hacktivists from Cyber Alliance (FalconsFlame, Trinity, Ruh8 and CyberHunta groups) have recently handed over another mailbox dump to volunteer investigators of InformNpalam. The mailbox belonged to a Russian Army serviceman who had taken part in the war in Donbas. He is one of those people who according to the Russian president “carried out certain tasks there, including in the military sphere”. This kind of “task operators” mostly are Russian contract soldiers on the payroll of the Russian Defense Ministry. Here is one of such stories

Popov Yuri Sergeevich, date of birth June 21, 1985 Passport # 1906 458786, registered address: Vologda, Naberezhnaya 6 Armii, 207 “A”, appt. 13., contract soldier, rank – seaman, military unit 74777 (99th Tactical Group Of The Northern Fleet), the New Siberian Islands, Kotelny Island. Personal number: EX-616099 Payroll employee number: 1973598., e-mail: asatru35@mail.ru. Archive of the deleted social network account link. In august 2014 he commented on posts in Military Unit 74777 group. The picture below is the text of his e-mail message, quote: “Hello, could you please reply to my question about entering the Viking unit. My name is Yuri, I have experience of service in Russian army, specialties: sniper-scout, rifleman-scout, gas scout I have been in Donbas half a year already”

Popov carried out criminal orders of the Russian military command and participated in the occupation of Donbas under the cover of illegal armed groups Sparta and Pyatnashka in the summer and autumn 2015. See below pictures of documents that were issued to Popov by so called military units of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR)

It is noteworthy, that Popov’s mailbox also contained payslips showing that during the time of his being on Donbas military mission (summer-autumn 2015) he remained active Russian serviceman, and was getting salary from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It is reliably known that as of January 25, 2015 Popov was serving in Pyatnashka, a DPR illegal armed group. He was also appealing to Union of Donbas Volunteers’ representative for an award.
